Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] When to have Work centre groups and Work centres?

2005-05-11 Thread Leo Li

Hi,Steve;
I think you can separate the work centers according to the product line. Set up the work centers in each product line. The work centersthathave the same working time and provide the same service can be a group.

We are about to commence setting up Axapta Production and I am uncertain of when to have separate work centre groups.We are a printing and bureau/mailhouse manufacturing company.We have several production areas, each with multiple machines, some which perform the same functions, some which have some common functions and others that are not related at all.Are there some rules I should be following?Thankyou,SteveSharing the knowledge on Axapta.

Hello,slees;
Thank you for reply.
I have found out the answer.

Leo,Am only answering this as no one else has so far but not sure if what I tell you will be of any value.We have not yet implemented production so have not used Axapta yet.But generally speaking, overlap is used to allow operations/sequences in a route to be produced in parallel, rather than just sequentially.Usually for more complex production environments with multiple streams in the same route.This overlap route info then flows through to your finite scheduling and capacity planning.Usually you would do this as a %.And i cannot understand what the very basic help comment is saying.So assuming that is what it does and that is what you are needing, set up a model and test to see the effect with and without overlap.slees--- In Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com, "leolql2003"

Hi,

You may refer to the Axapta Certification Exam Preparation Guides at https://mbs.microsoft.com/partnersource/communities/training/Certifications/exampreparation/MBS_Axapta_prep.htm
There you will find a great deal of valuable information to better prepare yourself for the exams:
- List of tools and trainings
- Learning resources
- Skills and experience recommended
- Comprehensive list of exam topics (e.g. Axapta Programming = there are 45 topics you really must know to pass).

Hello, Fabrice Perez

I am the one of the people who work hard to earn the certificate.

I really want to kown what you shoulddo, whenyou don't know the answer of the exam questions.

Whether youwould forget it and go to join the exam next time?

If so, youwon't know the answer for ever.

In that case,how can youpass the exam?

I think it is the best way to ask the question to the people who maybe know.

Do you have any good suggestion for the people who work hard to earn the certificate?

Hi all,

you did not only promise this you signed a non-disclosure agreement which will held *you* responsible for any violation. This could mean e.g. that MS decides to create new questions after *you* had disclosed them on the internet; and guess who will *pay* for that..
So it is no good idea to post questions here.

In general it should be possible to know all answers when you met the requirements listed on partnersource ;-))
