RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Non Ledger Integration in Axapta
No integration with general ledger is perfectly possible. You have all information regarding quantities and cost prices within you inventory module; Stock taking is the done on a periodiacal basis ( eg quarterly or yearly ) after which a global posting thru a general ledger journal is made to adjust any stock accounts. This way of working presumes that you post incomming invoices on a vendor and a cost account and an outgoing invoice on a customer and turnover account. when posting the summarized figures you first do the stock taking for the current period to establish current stock. The formula to apply is the following End stock current period = es begin stock current period = end stock period -1 = BS P = purchases at cost price S = sales at cost price SV = stock variation ES = BS + P - S Difference between ES and BS = SV which can be deducted or added to the stock account and set off againgst the stock variance account ( which is a pl account) This way of working prevents to have a multitude of transaction in you accounting. It also allows to adjust for any mistakes made during handling of incomming an doutgoing stocks This might clarify you question, also it might not. but at least I tried ! Best regards Ohh I can see you need the Colombian Cartel module sry. I could not resist :-) Regards Per JakobsenVRSCR StreetRodhttp://www.motorcykelgalleri.dk/html/gal_visbil.asp?ID=8459 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Wed, 29 Aug 2007 13:26:40 +Subject: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Non Ledger Integration in Axapta Does anyone have any experience of setting up Axapta version 3.0 without posting Financial transactions to the General Ledger. All Ledger integration is turned off?I have just come across a system set up in this way where all reporting is carried out interrogating the Inventory transactions. Most weird. Been working with Axapta (dynamicsAX) since 1998 before that XAL. Never seen that in the UK before. Any views? Anyone else set a system up in that way. Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] FRX integration with AX 4.0
Hi Senthil, If you download the latest service pack ( SP9 ) for FRX 6.7 you will have a version that complies with AX4.0. The link with AX is made when you enter the admin menu option in the report designer. Upon firsdt installation you will only be abale to connect to the demodata ( Fabricam Works ), but under the accounting system you will need to select AX. Of course you will aslo need the correct License numbers which can be provided to you by Partnersource or Online support ( not FRX software corp) After dowloading the last version and service pack you will also have to execute some sql scripts and procedures . All of these are explained in the included installation procedures and are independant of AX ( Setup of ODBC link, ... ) Hope this helps ! Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Posting profiles-'inventory Profit'
I am having trouble understanding what the posting type Inventory Profit and Inventory Loss refer to in the inventory tab of the posting setup. I am not sure what the intent is, can someone enlighten me on this? My Guru's said that this was for inventory adjustments like loss of inventory(theft) or profit(found extra)...Is this the case? Yes, you should try to post an inventory profit and loss journal, -- accounts defined will be used in this type of journal. -- Plaats je zoekertjes GRATIS op AdValvas Placez votre petite annonce GRATUITEMENT sur AdValvas http://www.advalvas.be

RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] VAT advice
The setup possibilities are flexible enough, but you should check the different countrie specifics for the availability of the required reports. ( most of them ( WE )should be available, good luck Axapta was originally written in Denmark and it handles VAT well. They are currently on a different ERP solution and considering Axapta. If they stay on their current solution, they are going to have to buy a third party product to help them with the VAT filings and requirements. Is this the same with Axapta?
