[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Calculate Sales Tax base on Invoice Amount (Non-Trade Purchase Free Text Inv)
Hi all Need your expertise advice on following inquiries. Our client is base in Singapore is using AX4.0SP2. Client book non-trade vendor invoice with sales tax rate of 7% via invoice Journal(APJournalsInvoice [Invoice Journal]) and generate free text invoice with sales tax rate 7%. In AX, sales tax is calculate on each expenses ledger lines the sales tax amount are posted in multiple lines to sales tax ledger a/c. Eg.invoice is SGD 1000 charge to SGD 700 to advertisement a/c SGD 300 to stationery a/c. Sales tax calculation is base on each expense lines (SGD 7 + SGD 3) post sales tax amount in 2 separate lines. The same sales tax posting will be apply to Free Text Invoice. Inquiries for both invoice journal free text invoice. 1. Is there a set up to allow posting of sales tax amount in single line (sum of sales tax amount). 2. Can we set the sale tax amount calculate base on invoice amount not base on each ledger a/c (expenses). TQ. Regards Cheah
[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] How can Axapta provide report (trial balance) in second home currency
Hi all Need your expertise to advice on how can i make use of Axapta to provide another set of report in USD (second home currency) when current home currency is maitain with SGD. Client is base in S'pore has agree to use SGD as home currency in Axapta. However, due to Accounting policy requirement, client have to prepare another set of financial reports in USD (client's business transact mostly in USD) to submit to auditor. Base on requirement gather from client, they required to Profit Loss Accounts 1. Exchange rate is base on monthly exchange rate (or average rate for the year). Preference will be on monthly exchange rate to achieve greater accuracy. 2. Remove realized unrealized exchange gain/loss for computation. 3. Fixed Asset depreciation disposal at historical rates. Balance Sheet Accounts 1. Exchange rate for monetary accounts (AR, AP, Cash borrowing or lending) is base on year end rate. 2. Exchange rate for non-monetary accounts (fixed asset, inventory, capital reverse) is base on historical rate. 3. Inventory fixed asset will be kept at historical cost when possible. 4. Prior retain earnings share capital kept at historical cost. Does anyone have any idea how can I produce report in USD from above requirement? If you have already impletemented similar requirement for your client, do let me know. Pls advaice. Thank you.
[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Not able to add criteria for on-hand report (Axapta's Auto Report)
Hi all Customer just upgrade v2.5 to v3sp3. Path : Inventory Management/Item/select on-hand button Problem : In on-hand screen, when generate 'auto report' (ctrl+P), click on select button try to add criteria but system does not allowed. In v2.5, system allowed to add criteria as at when it need. Advice : 1. Any idea why add criteria function is remove? 2. How can i put back the feature back? [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Administration - User Group Permission
Hi all We are doing a trial run on upgrading version 2.5 to version 3.0 (s.pack 3). Both versions are using oracle database. After the upgrade, notice that user group permission (under administration) was not upgraded to V3. User must manually re-setup the user group permission. [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Inventory Revaluation - Std Costing (Axapta Version 3.0sp3)
Hi All Need all your advice URGENLY. Understand that in Axapta, when we generate a stock revaluation, system only revalue on posted stock (stock that have been received invoiced). With Axapta standard way of calculate stock value, the stock report (using physical inventory by item group) does not tally with GL stock ledger account. Scenario Cost = USD50.00/unit. Using standard costing. 1. Issue PO with 10 units @ USD50.00. Stocks are received invoice is match. Answer : Both report GL ledger (stock a/c) = USD500.00 2. Issue 2nd PO with 5 units @ USD70.00. Stocks are received but not match with invoice. 3. User then perform stock valuation, generate 'close adjustment' in inventory module. 4. Change cost to USD80.00 in item master. 5. At inventory's 'close adjustment', select buttom 'Adjustment - On-hand' select the respective item code. Select 'Adjustment' by Cost Price. On adjustment screen, adjust value = USD300.00 (posted qty of 10 x USD30.00). Proceed to post. Answer : Stock report = USD1,200.00 (15 x USD80.00) GL ledger = USD1,050.00 (USD500 + USD300 + USD 250). Question : Is there any field where we can turn-on to allowed stock valuation calculation base on stock on hand (stock received). If no, how can we justify this the stock balance with GL ledger balance. By the way, this is only part of the problem. The worst scenario is yet to be test. Your advice is much appreciate, thank.
