[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Temporary table

2007-01-26 Thread chuapatrickd
Hi,

I've used temp table to store temporary the data before it goes to the
printer. My problem is that the generation of the table takes too long
aroune 20 minutes. But when I run a stored proce, it takes only less
than few 5 minutes. Is Ax temp table really slow ? is there a better
way of doing it. I've read about the recordinsertlist but can't quite
understand it. can anyone explain in very simple way how it works ? can
it replace temp table in report ?

thanks,
patrick

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Temporary Table in report

2007-01-21 Thread chuapatrickd
Hi to All,

I'm trying to use a temporary table as data source for my report.
However after populating it with the desired data, the report would
have no data in it. What I did is to make the temp table as permanent.
This time, the report did print ok with the selected customer. My
problem is if there are more than 1 user who will print the same
report. The problem I foresee is that the selectec customer for first
user will be overriden by the second users. This result in an incorrect
output. How will I be able to solve this problem? any idea will be
greatly appreciated. How come that the temp does not store the data in
the report ?

regards,
Patrick

2006-02-09 Thread Varden Morris
I am not sure what you mean by saying that temporary tables are completely
local. However, a temporary table is created and exists on the tier where the
first insert takes place. This means that if the first insert is on the client
that's where the table will be created and remain until it goes out of scope or
the user session that creates it is terminated. Likewise, if the first insert
is on the server the table will be created and live on the server.

  Data will only be visible to the session in which the table was created.

RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Temporary table

2006-02-09 Thread Preston A. Larimer
Setiaji,

When I need to check that the temp table is indeed loading data as suspected
I will set the tables temporary property to false, run the report, and see
the data and manually delete the data between runs as I work out any logic
issue I may have. Once I'm confident in the logic filling the table, I'll
set the property back to temporary on the table.

Hope that helps, g'luck

That's why static methods like Find() on temp tables

The only way is to traverse the temp table by

And a vote thanks to you also for taking so much pain.Now mine report is very near to completion except one thing that i am trying to resolve but not yet successful and that one thing i will also like to share with you though i have posted it on the Axapta village.

Nobody knows better than you that i am tryiong to perform a report which have got attached a checkbox on whose status the record will be either printed on the report or not. but now the problem is that as soon as i select any one control all the other checkboxes are also getting selected and vice-versa. though two separate functions which are made as menu items for selecting or deselcting are performing as expected i dont' know why this is happening and trying to solve it. if you have sloution or encountered the similar problem share your views.

And make some girl friends so on next Valentine Day you dont' have to play the game in Night.

just kidding .

Steeve…

Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Temporary table

2005-02-18 Thread Ashi Singh

Hi Steeve,

Once again i am troubling you. But as a Novice to be in Axapta it is a Normal scenarion.
to be alaways in Fix.

friend as i told you earlier mine problem with movement of Cursor of temporary table .
I got a idea from your mail which you have posted.

One of your mail response in which you have asked with help of a job that why it's not showing 123123 and showing instead just 123
Then i was thinking that why i should not use the same method in my case that is

query_A=new Query();query_A=element.args().parmObject();// objSOA_Ash = element.args().parmObject(); objSOA_Ash=element.args().caller().getclassobj();
 tmpCustTrans=element.args().caller().gettabledata(); tmpCustTrans1.setTmpData(tmpCustTrans); offCustTrans.setTmpData(tmpcustTrans);
//tmpCustTrans1=element.args().caller().gettabledata1();// offCustTrans=element.args().caller().gettabledata2();// tmpCustTrans=hello.args().record().dataSource();

Share your views but outrightly the one thing that i am seeing is that during scrolling like

 while select tmpcusttrans index hint AccountDateIdx where tmpCustTrans.tmpsreDRNo == SalesTable.SalesId { while select tmpcusttrans1 index hint AccountDateIdx where tmpcusttrans1.tmpRecID==tmpcusttrans.tmpRecID { print tmpcusttrans.tmpRecID; print tmpcusttrans1.tmpRecID; } }

may have some problem, enrich me with your views .

Loooking ahead for your views.

Till then bye.

[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Temporary Table cannot be set for security setup

2004-12-16 Thread Sonny Wibawa Adi

Hi All,

I tried to configure user security for calling some menus and allow user only to access limited tables. After a while, I configured for GL | Reports | Reconciliation | Inventory Report. I open security type for 'Main Menu', then configure view access for that report.

The problem is, when I logged-in using the user with view access for that report, it showed:

Unable to run InventLedgerConciliation due to access restriction in table TmpInventBalance.

It seems that TmpInventBalance has 'InventTable' security key. But, when I try to open security setup for 'Security Key', I couldn't find Inventory management | Tables | 'Item posting' table (which is TmpInventBalance).

When I debug the code, at SysSecurity class of expandSecurityKey method, Line 123, the method will check if the table is allowed or not for security setup.

 if (table.dataId == tableNum(TmpInventBalance)) //534 breakpoint; dictTable = new SysDictTable(table.dataId);
 if (!dictTable.allowSecuritySetup()) continue;
At allowSecuritySetup method, it checks that if it is temporary table, then it won't shown.

boolean allowSecuritySetup(){ if (this.isTmp() || this.isMap() || this.isView() || this.id() == tableNum(AccessRightslist) || this.id() == tableNum(SysConfig) || !this.securityKeyId() || //If not, the table rights cannot be calculated if the user is a member of 1 group (this.configurationKeyId()  !isConfigurationkeyEnabled(this.configurationKeyId( return false; return true;}

So, what can I do to configure TmpInventBalance table security, then the user will be able to run the report ?

Many thanks,

Sonny Wibawa Adi
