[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Virtual company - global address book
Hi, Any one can provide me some clue. I am in AX2009, I created a virtual company and added 3 companies (A01,A02 and A03), with customer detail and address (global address book). I added the the standard dirPartyCollection table collection and also ledgerTable, vendTable, custTable. After operated few months, customer created another company(A04) and also added this company to the same virtual company group, however, form the fourth company(A04), I can see the customer data shared, but there is no address(Addresses tab is blank). My questions : What is the correct action/procedure if adding the fourth company? What other tables need to share as well (global address book)? Your enlighten is highly appreciated. Danny

Re: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Virtual company - ProjCategory
Hi, I have done this in one of my project. Whether it is ProjCategory or any other table, putting it in virtual company is a crucial decision. Be sure that you need the same categories for all the companies attached to that virtual company. All the best. It's sad, that this has to be done by X++ (even if it's only little programming). So I think Lars' idea shows a better way solving that case. SV: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Virtual Company and Sequence numbers
Hi, I've once made this. A checkbox was added in the number sequence table. It was in fact an edit method. The number sequence had to have the same name in all the companies. One company was setup as the "master company", meaning that changes to the setup in the number sequences in this company will be used. Then you need to add a bit of code in the method getting the actual number sequence record (don't have a running Axapta right now). It's quite simple but works great. Good luck.
