[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Virtual company - global address book

2009-01-05 Thread cshauw
Hi,

Any one can provide me some clue.
I am in AX2009, I created a virtual company and added 3 companies
(A01,A02 and A03), with customer detail and address (global address
book). I added the the standard dirPartyCollection table collection and
also ledgerTable, vendTable, custTable.
After operated few months, customer created another company(A04) and
also added this company to the same virtual company group, however,
form the fourth company(A04), I can see the customer data shared, but
there is no address(Addresses tab is blank).

My questions :
What is the correct action/procedure if adding the fourth company?
What other tables need to share as well (global address book)?

Your enlighten is highly appreciated.

Danny

Hi Nomy,

The following steps will be required for setting up virtual company,
1. Create a Tablecollection in AOT and attach the tables you want to
put it in virtual.
2. Create a Virtual Company in Administration > Setup > Virtual
company accounts.
3. Attach the companies u want to include virtually in the same form
next tab(Company Accounts) and table collection in the third tab(Table
Collections).
4. Once you have to close and open axapta.
These are all the steps required for creating virtual company
account and attaching companies with that.

Hi,
I have done this in one of my project. Whether it is ProjCategory or any other
table, putting it in virtual company is a crucial decision. Be sure that you
need the same categories for all the companies attached to that virtual
company.
All the best.

This relation is persisted in the table called NumberSequenceReference where

Hi

All tables in Axapta have a property with the name
SaveDataPerCompany. Default the value for this property is YES. This means
that the DataAreaId will be used to ensure that data will be specific to
each compnay when stored. If you would like to change this for a particular
table you may change the property value to NO. This means that the data
stored in this table will be visible (common) to all companies.

SV: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Virtual Company and Sequence numbers

2005-05-23 Thread Lars Holm
Hi,

I've once made this. A checkbox was added in the number sequence table. It was
in fact an edit method. The number sequence had to have the same name in all
the companies. One company was setup as the "master company", meaning that
changes to the setup in the number sequences in this company will be used. Then
you need to add a bit of code in the method getting the actual number sequence
record (don't have a running Axapta right now). It's quite simple but works
great.

Good luck.

Regards,
Lars

Hi group! I have 2 companies with some common
tables (for example
custtable). I create a Virtual Company, I have a
problem when the
companies have the same customers as the field
dataAreaId contains the
Virtual company's name. I would like to view only
customer, in other
words I don't want to have some records
duplicates. What do I do?

2005-02-01 Thread Nitesh

Hi Lakshmi,
For creating virtual company ,first u should have to
create table collections (includes all thae tables which u want to share
among company),then go to admin ,setup ,virtual comapny ,create a virtual
comapny account ,attach that account to different companies and table
collections.

Hope it will solve ur problem

Thanks and regard
Nitesh
