Cheri You can't GET to the records of Norte Grande! At least, not anything prior to 1880. The Terceira Indices is showing in the bottom lefthand corner and you can't get to anything in that corner! except that. I noticed it yesterday morning and it's been that way all day long. [AZORES-Genealogy] Obit - Jose Dias Da Silveira - Cambridge, Ontario Canada
DA SILVEIRA, Jose Dias - Passed away, on Thursday March 5, 2009, in his 81st year, with his family by his side. He leaves behind his cherished wife, Maria and his children, Mary Joe (Tony), Berta (Larry), Jose (Flora) and Elizabete. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Catarina, Mandie, Lindsay- Anne, John and Zachary. Jose was born in Ponta Delgada, Flores, Acores in 1928 and arrived in Canada in February of 1966. He was the eldest of 10 children. Jose was a certified carpenter; a lover of soccer (Benfica) and politics. Above all else, he took great pride in the fact that he immigrated to Canada to provide opportunities for his children. That hope served him well. He was very proud of his children's accomplishments. Jose will be missed by many family members and friends who often visited him. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home , 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge where the family will receive friends today (Saturday) from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Rosary will be recited in the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Thank you all for your condolences. I really miss my father and my mother terribly, but the memories are there and will be cherished. The priest who did the service mentioned about the ship at sea getting smaller and smaller and disappearing, but never really gone because they are on the other side that you can't see. We will be on that other side someday as well. I think the best thing to do for those experience problems is to email the CCA (English is fine) and tell them what is wrong. I'd do it step-by-step so the I.T. guys know. Example: I have having problems with your web site. Can you please look into this? I go to http://pg.azores.gov/drac/cca/ig, and I click Registos Paroquias Calhetas (Velas, whatever) then I see __. And then write what you see. It just seems to me in reporting problems to various places that if I don't tell them what I'm clicking on (in that exact order) that they can't see what I'm seeing nor do they know what I'm taking about. So I write out each click with the denoting the next step. I.T. guys seem to understand this. Just my experience/suggestion. Do what you like. Nope, I'm looking at Ribeira Seca and first of all they don't show all the books they showed earlier in the week and of the books they do show, when you click on it, it gives Terceira information. Earlier this week all the correction books and information was there and everything was working fine. I did email them but; as of this morning, the site was still not working correctly. I hope I explained the problem clearly enough to them, of course, my email was in English. Thanks, is there a trick to using this site? I looked at the passports and then got to the page I believe the guy should be on, but the page is really unreadable as it only allows slight magnification and you can't save the image. Anyone have some reasonable success with another method to access? I did a snip, but when you enlarge it, the writing is too choppy. I figured this forum would have people who have mastered this task.
