I am trying to work out the time away from work and cheapest flight for me to get there from Toronto. When i called the hotel in Salt Lake City yesterday , they were telling me there were only 10 rooms left! Could this be so? Or is this a tactic to try and get me to book as quick as i could? Hi Terri, I called Rich Williams at the Salt Lake Plaza (the guy in charge of group sales). There are plenty of rooms available still (for our group). He doesn't understand why you were told there were only 10. He's afraid someone looked up the wrong group number and he apologizes. They don't use any tactics. Rich says the toll free number of 800-366-3684 works from Canada too. They can look up our group via the group code of 8285 or just tell them Azores. You might want to spell that for them though. It does come up near the top of their list. I will be checking on the room situation and will let the list know when there's only 10 left (I reserved 20 rooms as I have no idea what to expect). She was a devout Catholic, an activist for Senior Rights and, quite frankly, an independent, stubborn, clear headed woman with a forgiving heart. I will miss her.
