Doreen,Some of those distant matches seem to be not right at all. The only thing I can think of is that someone has the surname of Miller (or something Anglicized) and they find something in the British Isles and their research is wrong.I try to connect with those who have the most centoMorgans or have large blocks. I'll get to the 5th - Distant level if I see some relevant. I'm not going to bother if their trees don't seem to have anything in common with mine.

yes, it is  from the Mormon's Family History Library Catalog.   They filmed 
all the church records in the Azores.  These church records are  
great...Parents and where they are from; grandparents and where they are  
from...the 
newer records give the greats and where they are from.  These  census records 
were copied from the churches which were required to send copies  to the 
gov't.   I don't know if later records provided as much info as  the earlier 
records.  I can't remember where I got my church records...I  think at the 
Mormon Library.   i never had to write for records.   There are many on the 
list who have written for records on S Miguel, Terceira.  and Faial.

[AZORES-Genealogy] Minho or CITCEM web sites?

Is there something wrong with the Minho site again?  Did they change  the 
website address?  I can't get any of the sites to work.  Is any  one else 
having a problem with it?
