Hi Cheri,
I'm so disappointed I can't go this year! Family issues prevent me leaving 
during that time! I learned so much when I went and enjoyed being with so many 
other Azoreans!
Please let us know the date of the next one well in advance so I can make a 
long range plan!

Thanks, Nancy Jean.  I think, not exactly sure,  I have found their arrival
in the US and I think they came out of Terceira so I will try and follow
that lead but where did they apply for their Passportes? and Terceira is
not online or is it?  You can see I am way behind the times.

I would guess Angra for the passport but Horta isn't too far.
I don't know about a taxi but some friends of ours stayed in a windmill tourist 
lodging last year and thought it was very nice.

They applied for the passaportes from the port they sailed from.  No,
Terceira is not online.

will get together one of these times. LOL ​I'm really surprised that so
many of our attendees are returning people but I guess they just like to be
with all the rest of the crazy Portuguese researchers! We so enjoy them

people come who have been researching for a long time because they always

I am aware of the 1883-1894 gap, which of course includes the year I am 
most interested in (1889).  Which is why I was surprised to see one of 
Eric's attachments labeled PD passports 1888x.jpg.  1888 is also in that 
gap.
