bread" or pao de ovo (literally "egg bread"). My reference is the Alvaro
Franco DICCIONARIO Ingles-Portugues Portgues-Ingles, Published 1939, Porto
Alegre, Brasil. My mother, born on Flores, Azores would knead the dough *

*and on a greased baking sheet and would fashion a ring shaped loaf around
an inverted bowel, cover it with a blanket next to a heater (this was
usually done in the winter) and allow it to rise before putting it in the
oven. The bowel was removed before baking.*

Don't know if I should really go here again after the latest re-do of
Family Tree DNA's "My Origins" (ethnicity ESTIMATES), but here goes.

Judy Russell, The Legal Genealogist, wrote about the ethnicity ESTIMATES
today. She's a retired lawyer and writes a lot on various court records
that can help with American genealogy; Sundays she writes about DNA.
Today's article is called "Still Not Soup" and you can read it at the link
below.

The only thing I'd add to her article is that it takes the DNA of living,
whom we HOPE they know what they are talking about.

Celeste,
I did my Portuguese bakery purchase yesterday at the Hanford bakery. Two small 
loaves for people I'm staying at their homes and a loaf for my mother. A few 
pastries for the road. Since they are small they have the Jordan almonds on 
top. Car got broken into last night in Stockton. They didn't take my bread. 
Took my clothes and more ripped up my dash but not my bread.
