In relation to Doares verses Soares it is definitely Soares. Refer to 
marriage record in Book of Casamentos 1788 - 1806 for the Church of the 
Matriz São Jorge, Velas, São Jorge Island, Azores. Marriage entry 1231, 
image reference number 0026. Groom is recorded as Ignacio Soares de 
Albergaria and bride as Isabel Delfina da Silveira. Date of marriage 9 June

There is no such name as Doares. It had to be a typo and I didn't catch it.
As I said, my computer died and I'm working off my phone in the interim,
which is difficult. It's a 2 x 2.5 inch (5 x 6.2 cm) workspace. It's

This is off the Ancestry track but I think it is important to share this 
information since we go to such lengths to be sure Portuguese and the Azores 
are included in DNA search sites. With your indulgence I want to alert you to 
how we as Portuguese and NOT Hispanic will be counted in the 2020 census.  

The Portuguese-Americal Leadership Council of the United States has been 
successful in getting the Portuguese (including the Azores) I to be counted in 
the 2020 census.  Below is the web site for seeing and showing  how we can be 
counted. There is a link also to PALCUS (The Portuguese-American Leadership 
Council of the United States) should anyone be interested in the organization 
dedicated to Portuguese around the world. Perhaps many of you already know all

[AZORES-Genealogy] Family size survey

Can you all let me know the largest Azorean family you have in your
database? I prefer the late 1800s onwards, and it must be from ONE wife.
All kids, whether or not they lived to adulthood.

Example: 14 kids from ONE wife, includes one set of twins. Kids born from
1890-1913.

My 2nd Great Grandfather had 14 kids from his first wife from 1858-1882.
