[AZORES-Genealogy] Thomas Hickling-Baptism record of grandson in Furnas, Sao Miguel.

For any relatives of Thomas and Sarah Hickling, I came across the following
baptism record of their grandson Guilherme in Furnas, Sao Miguel.

Looks like the actual baptism was in Madeira but was also being recorded in
Furnas for some reason.

Don’t know if this is the condition Cheri is talking about but; a women can 
also have two uteruses and be pregnant in both at the same time.  Google it.  
Who knew!

No, you are reading it right. The parents and the grands are all the same.
They state one baby born 30 April and the other born 15 May both in 1814.

So I Googled it (because poor Joana being in labor for 2 weeks did not
sound right). Apparently, a woman can ovulate and become pregnant and then
have a 2nd ovulation a couple weeks later which can result in a pregnancy
as well. I've never heard of that. The article said it's rare, but not
unheard of.

I think the baby is Josefa.

[AZORES-Genealogy] Sidenote help with date of marriage and bride's father's name. Santa Maria

Starts on previous page but; what I need help with is the date of the marriage 
(sidenote).  I can see, I think, that Luiz Soares de Melo marries Ludvina de

I believe only Americans write dates backwards. The rest of the world (and
genealogical format) is from the smallest unit to the largest, so
Day-Month-Year.

My gr-grandmother from Faial gave birth to 9 living children and 2 that 
only lived a few hours after birth (not even long enough to name them).  
The great grandparents married in Faial in 1873 but moved right afterwards 
to the Bay Area area.  All of their children were born on a farm near 
Mission San Jose. (1874-1898)
