I would also like confirmation of the mothers name as Maria Gularte de

Thank you JR. I do have 3 of their children, but none list grandparents...I
have Manuel Dutra da Rosa's parents, but not Catarina's. I have looked for
Catarinas baptismal record, but can't be sure which one is hers unless I
can match it to her marriage record...so on this one, I am going in

husband, and approx age when she passed, but the are several Catarinas

names and their parents. I didn't want to be too wordy and list my entire
tree to go back that far, but did want to include where I started from. I
taught myself to read these records. I think in this record I am having
trouble with, I see the groom: _ Dutra, son of Jose Goularte or Garcia,
deceased, and his wife_ Maria Dutra, and Catarina da Rosa daughter of
Francisco da Rosa and his wife Maria da Can anyone correct what I
have if wrong, or fill in the blanks??

 Thank you,
 Becky

I don't see a question here. You talk about your husband being raised
by another family and you mention the mid-1800s. Then you post a record
from the mid 1700s. Somehow you are able to make your way back 250 years,
but I am not clear as to what you can and cannot read. You must be able to
read a lot to be back to the mid 1700s. What do you need help reading?

Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] Help reading record

2016-02-22 Thread Becky Mendonca
I was giving my history of family and names for my background...I am asking
for help reading this record, specifically the bride and grooms names and
their parents. I didn't want to be too wordy and list my entire tree to go
back that far, but did want to include where I started from. I taught
myself to read these records. I think in this record I am having trouble
