Thanks

[AZORES-Genealogy] Sao Miguel Birth and Marriage Records

2010-01-05 Thread JC
Is there an online source for looking for birth and marriage records
from Sao Miguel? I have spent an hour looking around the CCA site but
have found nothing except some death records. Not being able to read
portuguese is a definite disadvantage. I think learning it is going to
the top of my new years list ;-). If anyone can post a link or let me
know where to go to find these, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

[AZORES-Genealogy] Unknown location in Sao Miguel

2009-12-23 Thread JC
Hi Everybody,

Hopefully someone out there can help me with this. On my g
grandmother's death certificate, it says that her and her parents
place of birth was Feigao, Sao Miguel. I cannot find any kind of
reference to any place by this name. That of course doesn't mean it
doesn't or didn't exist. Especially since I am so new to looking for
my portuguese roots outside the US. Have any of you heard of this
place or know how I can find out more about it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Merry Christmas

JC
