Father gives its agreement to the marriage but doesn’t sign it in order to prove he gave the consent because he does not know how to write. They were under age if less than 25 (it is the same as “filho famílias). “married on Monday” – at those times marrying was an act of ordinary life. Most of them married on the morning so they can go to work. Crops do not wait for “party”. Common people married in the morning, Complicated cases married in the early morning “not to be seen”. Messes were very early in the morning and at the end of the day. Under age was 25? OK, thanks for the info! I knew the weddings are not like the ones of today. I just figured it was the bride groom, their parents, and the witnesses. So it's just the bride groom and witnesses for the most part?
