I don't see anything about a dispensation for consanguinity. I think his
travels were mentioned because that was the justification for his dispensation
for not proving satisfaction of Lenten obligations.

You could try the Angra and/or Horta passaporte logs; but if he was a ship
captain, passaportes may not apply.

I've seen under 25 marrying without permission being stated in the record
before. I assumed the parents' presence implied permission. The one time I
saw permission stated was when the maternal grandmother gave permission because
both parents were deceased or absent (this was all stated in the record as I
recall).

Here's one way to add links (if you're using a PC-- Apple products might differ
a bit):

Position your cursor at the beginning of the site/page address in your web
browser.
Left click, hold and drag your mouse to the end of the address. When you let go
of the mouse button, the text should remain highlighted.
Move the cursor over the highlighted text and right click on it.
Choose "Copy" from the menu that pops up.
Change to the page or document (or wherever) and position your cursor where you
want the copy to go
Right click the mouse and choose "Paste"

That's it! Easy-peasy :)

It looks to me like the record is stating that the bride fulfilled her Lenten
obligations there, but the groom was given dispensation because he was in the
USA.
