I would like to repost the below, in case anyone new may see it this time. In addition, I would like to add that Gaudencio's daughter's oral history indicates he was born in Santa Luzia... with a name like his one would not think it would be so hard to find! Our "Terra" DNA matches have been contacted, and I am consistently being told that their lineage is in Bandeiras /and or/ Santa Luzia.
