[AZORES-Genealogy] writing on back of old photo
Hi Becky, I emailed copies of the photos to my mom (85 in May!) who is bilingual in English and Portuguese and who taught herself to read and write Portuguese (she's awesome :) This is her interpretation: "Este é meu retrato" (This is my picture. In other words, this is a picture of me) "que tirei no meu" yard (my Mom thinks she's trying to write "yard" in English and is spelling it how it sounded to her, "yarne") "atras faço vinha" (behind-- the house, that is; in other words, in the back yard-- I make a vineyard). "uma velha" (an old lady). This is a picture of me taken in my yard. In back, I make a vineyard.
