VioHe wrote the V with it falling over the right. So the V is basically
sideways.
lantadeHe ran the 2nd syllable of the name together with the word "de"
and did not pick up his pen. lanta de
So it looks like Dio lantade  instead of Violanta de.

get "Violante" as I have never ever seen the name before.

If you read all the posts where people ask for translation help, whether
it's your island & freguesia or not, you will develop more of a sense for
things.

I was stuck on yours being a "D" when it was a "V." After Margaret pointed
out Violante, I went back and looked at it. So next time I'll know what
that V looks like.

I see it now. I wanted to make the first letter a "D" and it kinda looked
like "Deo" but Deolinda wasn't fitting with the rest of the word.
