Re: [backstage] BarCamp Brighton - tickets open Tuesday 11am

2008-07-28 Thread Paul Silver
Prem, one of the organisers, is hoping to stream a lot of the talks
through Yahoo Live or a similar service, and we're hoping to make them
in to an archive so there will be video as well as all the usual blog
posts and pictures that go along with a BarCamp.

If you keep an eye on www.barcampbrighton.org we'll be posting up
links to talks we manage to record, and I'll try to remember to mail
anyone who's interested.

Cheers

Paul

[backstage] Hack Day in Brighton this Saturday

2007-11-14 Thread Paul Silver
There's a Hack Day happening in Brighton this Saturday 17th November.

It's free, lunch is provided, if you'd like to come and have fun
hacking code together, please come along and bring your laptop.

It's happening in the Brighthelm Centre, a few minutes walk from
Brighton Station, the day starts at 10 o'clock and there are more
details here: http://www.farmhackday.com

We've got over 40 people signed up, if you'd like to reserve a space,
please sign up here http://farmhackday.eventwax.com/farm-hack-day or
just come along on the day and we'll try to fit you in (if you're
coming a distance, signing up would make sense!)

Thanks

Paul

Hi Ian,

Do you have any more of the Derek Featherstone talk? The video up
there just seems to be the first few minutes of the talk.

Thanks for doing those, even though I was there it's very handy to
have a reminder.

Cheers

Particulary handy if you couldn't make it too :)

Like the 'Joy of the API' guys talk so far. Quit motivating.

Honestly, it was the best talk of the conference.

Damn batteries! That's a shame.

Jeremy Keith is always worth watching or talking to. I saw a couple of
talks by him before he started speaking professionally and he's so
enthusiastic and interesting about what he's in to it's almost
impossible not to catch the same bug.
