function automatically fills incremental backups with the correspondingfull backup. What does it means? It will restore the newest version ofa.txt and b.txt, directory /important and c.txt or only the newest
version of a.txt and b.txtand directory /important?
As far as concern restore, BackupPc has very extraordinary.

You just go to the restore GIU and you can have history of the backup.

Let us say in your case

Day 1/ Full backup with, for example, three files :a.txt, b.txt, c.txt and
directory /important

will create complete tree with all three file with a.txt, b.txt and c.txt

day 2/ User removes c.txt, changes a.txt and b.txt

will give tree under /important a.txt and b.txt only

Day 3/ Incremental Backup : saves new versions of a.txt and b.txt
without c.txt

will give you a tree under /important newer a.txt and b.txt without c.txt

Now all three backups are available with the tag day1 day2 and day3.

So whate ever backup to be restore just select and restore it.

This is I consider 3 days backup.

[BackupPC-users] Feature request, please.

2006-11-15 Thread JohnY
I'm using BackupPC at multiple locations to backup mostly windows xp workstations. Works great!A couple of things would make it work better:1. Put the
$Conf{ServerHost} name in the title bar and/or page headings and/or Server navigation panel of every cgi page.2. Add a Logout option to the Server navigation panel to make it easier to change and test htpasswd user credentials.
Thanks for your consideration!

[BackupPC-users] R: Spanish and Italian language updates needed forBackupPC 3.0.0

2006-11-15 Thread Vittorio Macchi
I am Italian and this evening i am translating the italian language file.
I have two questions about:

Can I also correct some little error or word not properly used in italian
translation?
At the end of the file there are some lines also in english but not marked
as ENG. They need to be translated or not?

Bye

Vittorio

Oggetto: [BackupPC-users] Spanish and Italian language updates needed
forBackupPC 3.0.0

Do you speak Italian or Spanish?

If so, I would appreciate you translating new language strings for BackupPC
3.0.0.

The language files can be found in:

http://backuppc.cvs.sourceforge.net/backuppc/BackupPC/lib/BackupPC/Lang/es.p
m

http://backuppc.cvs.sourceforge.net/backuppc/BackupPC/lib/BackupPC/Lang/it.p
m

Most of the file is already translated. Please look for the string ENG to
find the strings that need to be translated.

To avoid duplication, please reply to the list first if you are going to
take this on and which file you will work on. Please email me the
translated files.

Thanks,
Craig
