Best greetings, Markus Sorry Markus, my reply to your question was only sent to you and not to the list. You can download the latest firmware for the paketloader and the tapedrive directly from exabyte (the originale manufacturer of the tapeloader) under http://www.exabyte.com/support/online/downloads/index.cfm. The usage of the alternative aic7xxx module is just a workaround for the bad firmware off the tapedrive. the actual fw for the tapedrive is V13206 (which has the problem with the aic7xxx module) but a new version is coming soon. I have an older V13205 which works fine with the aic77xx. For flashing a new firmware you have to use the "libtool" for linux (for flashing fw into packetloader) or the "vxatool" for linux (for flashing the drives fw). I have a exabyte packetloader 320 running under SLES9Sp3 with device /dev/st0 for the tapedrive and /dev/sg0 for the loader -- with regards Thomas Harf - Ingenieurbüro Thomas Harf Lettberger Straße 23 12355 Berlin Tel: +49 (0)30 66 92 17 58 Fax: +49 (0)30 66 92 17 55 Mobil: +49 (0)170 285 86 62 eMail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web: http://ingbuero.harf.de - begin:vcard fn:Thomas Harf n:Harf;Thomas org;quoted-printable:Ingenieurb=C3=BCro Thomas Harf;GL adr;quoted-printable:;;Lettberger Stra=C3=9Fe 23;Berlin;Berlin;12355;Deutschland email;internet:[EMAIL PROTECTED] title:Dipl.-Ing. tel;work:+49 30 66 92 17 58 tel;fax:+49 30 66 92 17 55 tel;cell:+49 170 285 86 82 x-mozilla-html:FALSE url:http://ingbuero.harf.de version:2.1 end:vcard - Take Surveys. Markus Schreier schrieb: Hello Thomas, no i've not changed the scripts. I found two options max autochanger wait and max open wait in bacula documentation, which could help. After changing firmware and driver i will change these two options to 5 minuts. Probably, these options will not be neccessary with the correct firmware (and driver-module). They should not harm either?
