The only thing I'm aware of that ever worked bidirectionally was the SyncBBDB (syncbbdb2.sourceforge.net) module for the pilot-manager (pilotmanager.sourceforge.net) project. I'm sure that is long dormant/dead as is PalmOS, though I continued to use it successfully through a few months ago when my final Palm M100 finally died and I've decided to move on. Anyway, perhaps there's some useful hints in the above code on what it takes to make it work. -- Dave Goldberg david.goldbe...@verizon.net -- Virtualization & Cloud Management Using Capacity Planning Cloud computing makes use of virtualization - but cloud computing also focuses on allowing computing to be delivered as a service. http://www.accelacomm.com/jaw/sfnl/114/51521223/ ___ bbdb-info@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bbdb-info BBDB Home Page: http://bbdb.sourceforge.net/

I am currently considering using 'lookout.el' [1] to import my contacts to bbdb, but I don't think export is possible, so this would be unidirectional only. State of the art of Bi-directional sync for BBDB and other contact apps
Hi, I am trying to determine there is a recommended utility that does bi-directional sync between BBDB and any of the other popular contact apps like Outlook, Gmail, Apple Address Book, etc.? I see a number of export and import, which is typically uni-directional. Just checking what is out there, before I think of any heavy self-customization. Thanks, Sriram -- Virtualization & Cloud Management Using Capacity Planning Cloud computing makes use of virtualization - but cloud computing also focuses on allowing computing to be delivered as a service. http://www.accelacomm.com/jaw/sfnl/114/51521223/___ bbdb-info@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bbdb-info BBDB Home Page: http://bbdb.sourceforge.net/
