Re: Word wrap

2015-12-04 Thread Oliver Boermans
For many years I have been using this little script from John Gruber for
cycling through text wrap options:
http://daringfireball.net/2004/10/bbedit_soft_wrap_toggling

Recommended if you have frequent cause to switch.

chris -

check the ‘help’ menu and download the user manual (if you haven’t already).

you’re looking for ‘soft wrap’… also available in the top of your documents.

good luck!

How do you do word wrap in BBEdit? Is Hard Wrap that I see in menu the same
thing? Does word wrap in BBEdit have somethig to do with the page line I
see running down my page. If not what is the line or area I am referring

word wrap in printing

2012-09-12 Thread Jeff
When I edit my text file, I enabled word wrap and it automatically indents
according to the first line of the paragraph. However, when I try to print,
the indentation all disappears and looks very ugly. Is there a way to
correct this? Are there ways to fine tune the printing options, such as
whether to print the line number? Thanks!

Jack Stewart's word wrap works...

Jack,

When I read your message I noticed that it word-wrapped correctly
instead of hard-wrapping at about 76 characters like my messages and
others

I've had a number of discussions with Patrick Woolsey about this and
he claims, that's just the way it is, yet your messages look great.

Are you using Apple Mail ?

If so, do you have any idea what preference needs to be set to wrap
like yours does ?

Jack Stewart's word wrap works...

2009-04-01 Thread Bill Hernandez

I looked a the long headers in Jack Stewart's messages, and compared
them to my messages, and the only difference I found was that his show :

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8

and mine show :

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

So I tried :

[2009.01.04](06:15PM) - [roscoe] ~ $ defaults write com.apple.mail
NSPreferredMailCharset UTF-8

to see if that solves the wrapping problem...

If this wraps correctly that will be great, it not, Oh Well...

Jack, if you're reading this, how about sending a copy of what you
sent to the group directly to me with as much identical as possible.

Google does muck with the header lines and I'll be able to see what
might be different. before they do their thing.
