Yup, that is exactly what the IMF and World Bank had in mind. That is why
the Asian countries have never really recoverd because the 2 organizations
took over the whole country. They want to prevent too much growth and keep
the countries in lots of debt, so that ensures the US has less competition.

OFF/ US Jet bombs Canadians in Afganistan. Several killed and wounded

Pres. Bush managed to not mention for 2 days (even then a

2002-04-15 Thread Michael Roboz

Dear Jane,

Last night, on 60 Min. (do you watch it?)
one of the stories was on Enron's escapade in India with a hugh power
plant. Enron was buying Enron's own CNG from Quatar (when cheap coal was
available in India) for fuel for this plant, which would charge 4X the rate to
the Indian gov't that the gov't was used to.
An new Governor of that Indian State where the
power plant was being built wanted to stop the project and did so after
elected. Enron then sent the US Ambassador to India and CEO of Enron (a
pretty woman) to charm officials, arm twist, and threaten officials to re-open
the project, which they did. The US Ambassador's threats included that US
investment woiuld dry up if the project would not go ahead.
It went ahead and then was closed down as too
expensive to run. The US. Ambassador to India later retired and got a
cushy job with a subsidiary of Enron, while the Miss Pretty CEO left Enron for
another cushy job in Houston.

This should be especially appealing to all of you old (or wanted-to-be)

 anti-establishment types.

 GAS PRICES

I hear we are going to hit close to $3.00 a gallon by the summer. Want

gasoline prices to come down? We need to take some intelligent, united

action. Phillip Hollsworth offered this good idea:

 Here's the idea:

For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY gasoline from the two

biggest companies (which now are one), EXXON and MOBIL. If they are not

selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they

reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit. But

to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Exxon and

Mobil gas buyers. It's really simple to do!! Now, don't wimp out on me

at this point...keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach

 millions of people!!

I am sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it to

at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least

ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the message

reaches the sixth generation of people, we will

have reached over THREE MILLION consumers! If those three million get

excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people

will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed

 it. THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

. . Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all.

How long would all that take? If each of us sends this email out to ten

more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could

conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!! I'll bet you didn't

think you and I had that much potential, did you? Acting together, we

can make a difference. If this makes sense to you, please pass this

 message on.

PLEASE HOLD OUT UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES AND KEEP THEM DOWN. THIS

CAN REALLY WORK. WE'VE ALREADY SEEN THE JUMP IN PRICE FOR SPRING

TRAVLEL. YOU KNOW SUMMER IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER AND THEY LOVE

 HOLIDAYS AND SUMMER TRAVELERS.

This is quite a story.

Love, Marilyn

 We all need the
little "birdies" On July 22nd I was enroute to Washington, DC for
a business trip. It was all so very ordinary, until we landed
in Denver for a plane change. As I collected my belongings from the
overhead bin, an announcement was made for Mr.Lloyd Glenn to see the
United Customer Service Representative immediately. I thought
nothing of it until I reached the door to leave the plane, and I heard
a gentleman asking every male if they were Mr. Glenn. At this point I
knew something was wrong and my heart sunk. When I got off the
plane a solemn-faced young man came toward me and said, "Mr. Glenn,
there is an emergency at your home. I do not know what the emergency
is, or who is involved, but I will take you to the phone so you can
call the hospital." My heart was now pounding, but the will to
be calm took over. Woodenly, I followed this stranger to the distant
telephone where I called the number he gave me for the Mission
Hospital. My call was put through to the trauma center where I learned
that my three-year-old son had been trapped underneath the automatic
garage door for several minutes, and that when my wife had
found him he was dead. CPR had been performed by a neighbor, who is a
doctor, and the paramedics had continued the treatment as Brian was
transported to the hospital. By the time of my call, Brian was
revived and they believed he would live, but they did not know how much
damage had been done to his brain, nor to his heart. They
explained that the door had completely closed on his little sternum
right over his heart. He had been severely crushed. After
speaking with the medical staff, my wife sounded worried but not
hysterical, and I took comfort in her calmness. The return flight
seemed to last forever, but finally I arrived at the hospital six hours
after the garage door had come down. When I walked into the
intensive care unit, nothing could have prepared me to see my little
son laying so still on a great big bed with tubes and monitors
everywhere. He was on a respirator. I glanced at my wife who stood and
tried to give me a reassuring smile. It all seemed like a
terrible dream. I was filled-in with the details and given a guarded
prognosis. Brian was going to live, and the preliminary tests indicated
that his heart was OK, two miracles in one and of themselves.
But only time would tell if his brain received any damage.
Throughout the seemingly endless hours, my wife was calm. She felt that
Brian would eventually be all right. I hung on to her words and faith
like a lifeline. All that night and the next day Brian
remained unconscious. It seemed like forever since I had left for my
business trip the day before. Finally at two o'clock that afternoon,
our son regained consciousness and sat up uttering the most
beautiful words I have ever heard spoken. He said, "Daddy hold me" and
he reached for me with his little arms. By the next day he was
pronounced as having no neurological or physical deficits, and the
story of his miraculous survival spread throughout the
hospital. You cannot imagine how we felt as we took Brian home. We felt
a unique reverence for the life and love of our Heavenly Father that
comes to those who brush death so closely. In the days that
followed there was a special spirit about our home. Our two
older children were much closer to their little brother. My wife and I
were much closer to each other, and all of us were very close as a
whole family. Life took on a less stressful pace. Perspective
seemed to be more focused, and balance much easier to gain and
maintain. We felt deeply blessed. Our gratitude was truly
profound. The story is not over (smile)! Almost a month later
to the day of the accident, Brian awoke from his afternoon nap and
said, "Sit down Mommy. I have something to tell you." At this time in
his life, Brian usually spoke in small phrases, so to say a
large sentence surprised my wife. She sat down with him on his bed, and
he began his sacred and remarkable story. "Do you remember
when I got stuck under the garage door? Well, it was so heavy and it
hurt really bad. I called to you, but you couldn't hear me. I
started to cry, but then it hurt too bad. And then the 'birdies' came."
"The birdies?" my wife asked puzzled. "Yes," he replied. "The
birdies made a whooshing sound and flew into the garage. They took care
of me." "They did?" "Yes," he said. "one of the
birdies came and got you. She came to tell you I got stuck under the
door." A sweet reverent feeling filled the room. The spirit
was so strong and yet lighter than air. My wife realized that a
three-year-old had no concept of death

Tony, I've heard William Thomas interviewed a few times (a reporter who
has been researching chemtrails). He says that the chemtrails form a grid
pattern in the sky and will not dissipate - rather, a clear sky will become
completely clouded over with them. There also seem to be attendant outbreaks
of flu-like symptoms. I haven't seen any of this yet in Nova Scotia, just
the regular contrails in straight lines along the normal flight paths,
fading away. William Thomas has a website (lifeboatnews.com(?), Jane had a
reference to it awhile back, I think. As if the regular jet traffic wasn't
enough to screw up the atmosphere

Not at all. If it was any frequency from the spectrum
then the several experts from several american universities

My guess is that the commies were working on scalar waves
which is something totally different than any other frequency
 already known.

I don't know if they would be called sub-nature forces, but, these ELF's,
were around 6-8 hz, often 666 hz (number of the Beast in the Apocolypse,
from Judaic tradition, 666 is the number of the Sun Demon or Anti-Christ).
These frequencies have been shown to be the natural frequencies of our

Even this very specific article does not give us much help in getting

  Financial Times

ASIA-PACIFIC: Seeds are key to rebuilding devastated farms: A massive
 plan
to replace seeds lost to drought and war has been unveiled, writes John
 Mason
  Financial Times; Feb 14, 2002
  By JOHN MASON

The long-term recovery of Afghanistan's farming, devastated by three
 years
of extreme drought and 23 years of war culminating in the recent US
 bombing
campaign, depends on one thing above all else - seeds, say leading food
  scientists.

Plans to launch the largest-ever programme to replace a region's lost
and
damaged seed stocks were announced yesterday by a consortium of
respected
international agricultural research institutes and others. The
 consortium's
goal is to create the critical mass of seed needed for Afghan farmers
to
then produce their own seed supplies and so achieve food security. Some
125,000 tonnes of seed are required, a target that could be reached
 within
  three years, say scientists involved.

  Adel El-Beltagy, director-general of the Syrian-based International
 Centre
for Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), which is leading the effort,
 said:
Right now, the seed situation in Afghanistan is critical. We believe
the
majority of the country's seeds were lost when farmers planted the 2001
crop. When the rains failed for the third year in a row, it put an end
to
their ability to stay on the land.

The trick the scientists are trying to pull off, under difficult
circumstances, is to build the foundations for a long-term, sustainable
recovery. What they hope to avoid are the short-term emergency
responses
 of
some development agencies that often fail because they are technically
  inappropriate.

If Afghanistan is going to get back on its feet, and if we are going
to
diminish dependency on food aid programmes, development programmes are
going to have to make sure that they provide Afghan farmers with
appropriate technology and policies, said Mr El-Beltagy.

However, launching such a programme in the current climate in
Afghanistan
has risks, Mr El-Beltagy concedes. Uncertain political stability
outside
the capital of Kabul and minefields and other physical legacies of
years
 of
war provide constraints. Mines are risks we are well aware of. After
the
temporary Afghan government, there will be a permanent government. We
 will
link up with them and try to have a proper dialogue. But there are
risks,
yes, he said. Although Dollars 12m has already been committed to the
project, further funding will also be required, he said.

Seeds will include those of traditional varieties of wheat, maize,
 barley,
chick peas and lentils, which have been used for centuries.

UNDERPLANTING COMPANION PLANTS WITH APPLES AND VINYARDS IN
NZ; INCREASING LEAFROLLER PARASITOIDS

 Buckwheat (fagopyrum sp.) was selected
for interplanting in apple and vinyards because it is an annual that germinates
in 3 days, has flowers in 6-7 weeks and has lots of easily accessible nectar for
parasitoids (beneficial parasitic wasps). Fava bean (Vicia faba) was
selected for its early spring extra-floral nectaries. Other fava (Phacelia
sp.) was selected in part because its unique pollen morphology allows easy
tracking of insect movement ( eg. Syrphid fly gut analysis).
 Buckwheat underplanted with apple trees
increased leafroller parasitoid numbers by 1000%.Fecundity
(reproducibility) of the parasitoids increased by 300% and longevity by 600%;
all in comparison with other underplantings such as clover and rye.

Dr. Stephen Wratten, Lincold U, Canterbury,
NZ)

Beneficial and pest populations in apple orchards
were monitored over a 3 yr. period with underplantingfs of yarrow, tansy and
Alaska white chrysanthemum. Change is slower with planting as cover crops
in existing orchards as opposed to spraying pesticides at the beginning of the
trial, which "changes the entomological zoo overnight". Companion planting
redu;ced damage from apples pests such as tarnished plant bug (Lygus sp.), apple
sawfly and plum curculio (Conotrachelus neuphar from 64% to 2%). Parasitic
wasp and fly populations increased 400-500%.
About 20-25% of the area was set aside fro
companion plants, which were planted about 6 meters from the orchard
trees.

Re: become member of anthr. soc.

2002-02-23 Thread Michael Roboz

Dear Steve,

Not all BD practitioners are meant to be anthrops. and Allan like the bd
part but not necessarily the rest. Spiritually, he seems to be coming more
from the Buddhistic stream, note his question regarding the Delai Lama, etc.
Then again, Zajonc has led the American Anthr. Soc. in a direction towards
that of embracing Buddhism as well. Then again, Artur is stepping down from
Gen. Sec. to devote more time to the Section, partly because of differences
of opinion with some new Vorstandt members and Artur.

irradiated food contamination

2002-02-07 Thread Michael Roboz

Actually, the fact is that when food is irradiated either
by C0-60 Gamma rays or Electron Beam, the food itself DOES NOT become
radioactive.
So what made these people sick? Not sure that this
story is really kosher. Michael

Dear List,

Has anyone experience with sending bd horns across
the border from US into Canada.? Is there any restriction? If so, a

2002-02-02 Thread Michael Roboz

I've been aware of this project in Alaska for 20 years and
Bertell has lectured in Vancouver about this several times.
Question:How come there has so many disasters
weatherwise in the US in the last few years such as hurricanes, etc? Could
they not have been prevented by using HAARP? Or, is it not perfected
enough to be accurate?

Re: Clinton not Bush

2002-02-02 Thread Michael Roboz

So-called Democratic process. The primaries and the way the candidates
are set up for election is not the most democratic system in the world. The
British Parliamentary system (which Canada uses for now) is a little more
democratic where anybody could run, even more than one candidate in the same
party, if they had enough backing. That has not happened since the 1970's,
but, it is possible. With the American system, only one candidate is brought
forward from each party in the end, to be elected, by a small proportion of
the electorate historically.
Please note that Bush's daughters have gotten in trouble with the law and
now his neice. Hardly made the news, but, if Clinton's daughter would have
done the same thing, it would have been political fodder for a month.

It is the selection process that sets up Americans to sometimes elect
the
worst rather than better. As Tony N-S said, not only do Americans
suffer for it, but, also the rest of the world. Michael

 What selection process, Michael?

You mean like Gary Hart and his womanizing or John John Kennedy's
plane going down days after he confided to friends that he was ready
 to enter politics?

As with Hitler's rise, 30 years of assasination of the good and the
bright will make most anyone look good to those who live the
 unreflected life

irradiated seeds/food

2002-01-29 Thread Michael Roboz

Dear List,

Many years ago, Vancouver was slated to get a food
irradiaton plant built. Luckily, the owners had many liens against them
and it did not happen, though recently, I discovered a facility was built just
recently in another part of town.
I did extensive reserach into e-beam radiation and
C-60 irradiation on food stuffs. I came to the conclusion that,
economically!!, it was not worth it except for frozen meats and fish, and only
by processing 24 hrs./day. Apples, raspberries were found to be more
susciptible to bruising, molds, etc and made transport more difficult. This was
true of other small fruits and pit fruits. Irradiation caused molecular
changes which made the foods more susceptible to damage while in transport and
disease in storage. It also changed taste and texture. Meats and
fish were then re-processed to mitigate those taste changes-i.e., additives were
needed.
Spices were among the first to be considered
and required very very high doses because of their low water content.
That, I assume, is also true for seeds. Would the seeds be damaged under
low dosage-I don't know if it is under the threshold for nuclear damage and
other molecular damage?
If there was a label excempting irradiation,
then it must be used. Otherwise, bd/organic seeds would not retain their
certification.
In some cases, it was found that irradiation
was the only way to kill certain bugs, eg. the Papaya worm (forget the actual
bug), which until then (1980's) was only treated with double dipping (hot water
dips).
In the 1980's Canada financed the building of a
food irradiation facility in Thailand, which then exported foods irradiated
foods back to the US and Canada. The US and Canada were in the process to
change regulations so that food irradiation was legal in N. America. I assume
that has been done, as a plant exists here in Vancouver.
At the time I was doing this research and active in
protest, the financial arm of the Canadian Nuclear industry got so interested in
myself and my research/protest partner that they sent someone out from Kanata,
ON, to take us out for lunch. They actually considered us a possible threat and wanted to find out more about
us.
Anthr. articles appearing in Germany in
German have confirmed the rumors that the US Gov't/CIA/FBI knew in advance of
theNine-One-One attacks in advance, but, let it happen to drum up public
support for attacks in Afganistan. It is quite possible that the anthrax
attacks were also Gov't sponsored because the strain was only known to exist in
Gov't labs and it required very high technical knowledge and finesse to grind
the anthrax down to weapons grade.
This is NOT the first time this has been done. It
is now widely known (especially in German publications) that US gov't knew ahead
of the Pearl Harbour attack, but, let it happen in order to get an excuss to
enter the war and sway public opinion. These publications will NOT be
widely circulated in N. America-I think you know the reason why.

Cheers, Michael
