Re: [Ankur-core] anubadok and wikipedia
I came across this userscript and wondered if something similar could be done for translating english-to-bangla using the anubadok back-end: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/1808 I figured that if I just shared my dream it would end up somewhere in Golam's long list of TODOs, so I started some fiddling myself and ended up with this userscript: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/5131 BTW, in case you're unaware, userscripts are bits of javascript that can added to web pages using the greasemonkey (http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org/) extension of the Firefox web browser. -Sajed - Using Tomcat but need to do more? Oops, I was selecting a whole paragraph...:-) Selecting a word gives the translation okay. Thumbs up. `J - Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security? [Ankur-core] anubadok and wikipedia
Hi, as the anubadok website points out, translating wikipedia articles is a natural use of anubadok. This would be facilitated if there were a webpage similar to http://www.bengalinux.org/cgi-bin/abhidhan/bdict.pl that could work with paragraphs rather than words or phrases (much like http://babelfish.altavista.com/). Would that be hard to do? Deepayan - Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security? Re: [Ankur-core] anubadok and wikipedia
A good Idea indeed. I shall open en.wikipedia in a tab (of a browser) and anubadok (paragraph translator) in an adjacent tab. and thenCopy a paragraph from en.wikipideapaste it in anubadok (paragraph translator) click the magic button to translateedit within anubadok for any spelling and grammatical mistake.Copy the bangla text from anubadokpaste into bn.wikipedia (Oops! I had to open bn.wikipedia in third tab ;))add appropriate wikipedia tagsclick previewand finally click save.aha ! what a dream of mine.On 09/08/06, Jamil Ahmed [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: On 8/9/06, Deepayan Sarkar [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi, as the anubadok website points out, translating wikipedia articles is a natural use of anubadok.
