What's Next???
Late last night I launched our Name the Costco Stuffed Berner Contest to benefit Berner-Garde. In case you missed the announcement, here is the web site: http://www.overthefence.com/helpberners/bg/ We have 97 items in our 5th Annual Berner-Garde Fundraiser and so we are really all set with berner things. I say this because after I announce a new fundraiser, I always get messages from people who would like to donate berner items to our fundraiser. This time, I am hoping that I will still get those offers, but what I'd like to do is use those items for our next fundraiser, which will be in Sept. and Oct. to benefit BEHAF (Berner Emergency Health Assistance Fund,) which is in need on funds. So far we only have about five items for that event, and I'm counting on a lot of you offering nice Berner items to help BEHAF. I hope you are all thinking of good names for our stuffed Berner ~ you might win this sweet, obedient Berner!! As usual, all of the instructions are on the great web site that Karen Pickel has made for our fundraiser. Win that Berner and slap a nice big pink ribbon on her -- then watch as your big male approaches her -- (I own a Costco Berner). This stuffed Berner is matchless at ignoring your male. He will flip her ears. When no reaction is forthcoming, your male will face her and eye her with confusion. Back to nuzzling and flipping ears. Nope. No reaction. Your male will become more tender ... more ardent ... until that ear is (you may trust me on this) sopping wet. Still no reaction. Your male will whine. No reaction. Bark. No reaction. He will sniff her nether region and give you, his owner, a very confused but hilarious expression. You can practice LEAVE IT with that female. You can practice NO SNIFF with that female. Hi all Yes she will be worth her weight in gold. Might I suggest the name Goldie? When we got our Costco berner, Bacchus went through the exact same things..licking ears, smelling nether regions [or will the new PC name be neither regions] rolled her over and gernerally fell in love. And this is a boy with a real live berner girl living here. He still protects her from Ari. Not in a mean way.just in a that's my baby and not yours kinda way. Trust me.a Costco berner in the home is worth HER weight in gold. Hi Pat, We do have a LOT of lovely Berner items for our Fundraiser for Berner-Garde. Yes, that clock is not only one of a kind, but it was lovingly carried back from the Swiss Berner meeting last year especially for this event!! I will accept all ideas for names for the Costco Berner.Who knows which name Nick and Ben will choose, but you can be sure that they will have food on their minds!! Use your imagination - it will be fun to see what kind of names we get and who the winner will be. And, yes, Willem's paintings are always a BIG HIT!! Ha Maria, What kind of dudley studley do you have, my Pluto at ten weeks old was quite capable of seducing his Costco princess and was often to be found humping her with great enthusiasm, with his front paws locked around her neck he couldn't quite reach her ample butt however the desire was there:-) I'm pleased to say that his practice time has paid dividends as he now is a most accomplished Studly Dog:-))) Rose T.
