Felix, I think I figured it out. Once you are on the playlist you press the right arrow, and the playlist is assigned. I guess that I was expecting some sort of confirmation. Felix, I added the quick access plugin, removed the favorites plugin added the lines of code to a new custom.map, selected that on the server, but don't know how to actually assign the play list to the number. The quick access appears on the menu, it allow me to browse my playlists, but I can't figure out how to drop the list in the slot? What am I doing wrong? Also, it appears that the quick acess only selects playlists. What I really want is a combination of favorites (single song or internet station) and quick access (playlist preset). I figure that I can set up a playlist with one internet radio staion and get a work around that way. Allowing more than 10 presets would be cool, but it's a start. [SlimDevices: Beta] Music Player Current Track and long titles
Using 6.1b1 nightly from 5th July (but I think was the same in at least one version before that, can't now remember!) ... If the combined track title / album name / artist cover more than one line (which nearly all of mine do) then this is not properly displayed in the current track item near the top of the music player pane (right half of the UI). Tried with both Firefox and IE. Using "Default" skin I only get the first two lines. Using "Default2" I get the first line ok, then the 2nd and 3rd lines underneath the "Current Playlist" label and controls. Whatever mod ethe player is in, the brightness just dims to the 'idlebrightness' setting (unless server pref has selected manual brightness only). When off, the player defaults to date and time display, so that's what you see. In the case of off, this really isn't any different than using date and time. The Date and Time screensaver is there mainly to server as an example of writing a simple screensaver. As before, testing with an SB2... upgraded server to 5th July nightly, and sure enough the server no longer crashes when I turn the SB2 off with "Screensaver (off)" set to "none". Excellent. However I am puzzled by the behaviour of the Screensaver (off) setting. First, I'm not at all sure why I am presented with the options of having VU meters or Spectrum Analyser (seem to make no sense for an "off" device). However, if I select one of these I get a blank screen when I turn the SB2 off, which is ok. Second, I'm not sure what the "none" value is meant to do here. It seems to leave the display on date-and-time when I turn it off... so how is that different from the "date and time" value? If you are not restarting the server, the players will stay listed. [SlimDevices: Beta] Player and Server Formatting not sticking
Loaded the Beta SW on PC#1, and it was working fine all weekend. Loaded onto PC#2 (both running xp SP2) the display on the SB2 was just showing the track, like: "1." or "20." for example. So, I went to Player Settings, saw that TITLE (ARTIST) was selected, clicked change and the display looked right. But it did not stick. Shortly thereafter, it went to just showing the artist in parenthses, and that is not even a choice in the pulldowns. The same thing was going on with the web display that you can get to from Server - Formatting. Whatever setting I selected, it keeps reverting to something else, and that something else is usually not even another selectable format. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice. I manually deleted the slimserver directory in program files each time. I also redownloaded the file from the website incase my exe got hosed. Hi bnema As far as I know Favorites doesn't allow for playlists to be assigned yet. However I am pretty sure it will be added in the future. In the mean time you could use my QuickAccess plugin which allows to assign a playlist. As additional bonus you can also pass the current playlist from one player to another.
