>From what I read in Andy's comments in bug 10324 leading and trailing spaces were supposed to be stripped, so I would assume that also means they're not intended to be significant. My testing of 7.6, though, shows that they are significant. OK, the recent problems in 7.6 are a bit too much for me at the moment. I'd like to stay with 7.6 though, so I was wondering whether anyone has a .deb lying around of 7.6 from at least a month ago? Ok, that's fixed. It's looking really good. I'm using Onebrowser now for
daily use, no problems.
In the breadcrumbs, when you get to the 'View Tags' page there's a
'More Info' link that isn't needed and takes you to a page much like
songinfo, but missing album data and artwork.
One thing that drives me crazy in the Default skin is the small icon in
the title header that comes and goes. It causes the page layout to shift
when it appears and disappears. It's not present on the Home page, and
not present on pages now where you have 'Artist ()', 'Year
()' type titles. I suppose Home should be without it, but it
should be on all other pages, IMO.
Something that I just noticed is that the very small icons in the Home
menu have a darker gray background in 7.6 trunk and Onebrowser than
they do in 7.5 trunk.
The status bar in the web UI, below the navigation pane, needs a little
work.
Text needs to be added to the library stats on the Home page, instead
of just raw numbers ('2588 with 31261 by 864').
I like the 'Items 1 to 89 of 2588' treatment on other pages. It's more
in line with SqueezePlay, and it may avoid the conflicting library
count complaints, where artist counts are always different when you
browse into albums.
Pages deeper in the browse hierarchy of the web UI don't display
anything in the status bar at all. I'm not sure if they really need
them, but it was nice to see total album and track counts for
individual artists.

Andy, please read my and Marco's accounts. There's nothing wrong with the files. The problem is that it happens randomly. And I'm still seeing the problem in 7.6 trunk. I replaced a faulty disk drive and the problem has largely improved, but I still see it from time to time. In every case running a new & changed scan picks up the files where the 'Unable to read tags from file' errors were logged. I suspect this error message is a little misleading and logged whenever any type of disc access problem occurs. Thing is, I can't understand why it happens on an idle system in the middle of the night. Is there some kind of timeout that the external scanner sets for each file access? [SlimDevices: Beta] SBC "Turn On / Turn Off" doesn't toggle in latest 7.6
I've noticed upon installing recent 7.6 beta nightlies that my controller's "Turn on / Turn off" menu feature doesn't toggle anymore. Specifically, I can turn on my various SB Receivers and Booms with the controller, but can't then turn them off. (i.e. The SBR menu continues to offer "Turn On..." as the only selection, even though the particular device is already on.) I CAN successfully turn-off the various units from the server interface; and the Booms' IR remotes work fine. Hi, I had the same problem, then I did some trials with AudiScan alone and I found that 'randomly' spot this error and do not return any information. In this case, I run immediatley after a new scan of the same file and 'magically' everything is ok. This why if you run a partial scan after the first total, thinks went - probably - rigth. Too bad, we need to wayt SBS developers fix the bug in audioscan or modify SBS in order to repeat the scan in case of error, as I did. Please let me know if you found aother solutions.
