It seems to work now in Firefox, so I suspect I've got some cache issue on the PDA. I've tried clearing cookies and browser files. kdf, I think there's a problem with the image containing a onClick event, instead of using a href. sorry about that. No problem! I'm kind of getting used to this kind of copy/paste problem :-) however, I think there may be a way to handle this with template toolkit so that we can avoid having two versions of the script. splitting it off from common.js and PROCESS'ing it would allow us to wrap using something like [% useFrames %] in cmdwrappers I thought of this. I am using 6.5b1 - 8509 (XP) due to being disapointed with 6.3. It seems to be working very well for me, except one small thing... Albums with various artists list every artist after the album name, rather than saying "[album] by Various Artists". It looks very messy and brosing by album. I am sure SS used to just say "By Various Arists". Is this a bug, and feature, or is there a way around this? -- dangerous_dom dangerous_dom's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1763 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=25635 ___ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta

I believe the artist count will vary in SlimServer depending on how you have your compilation options set. I found that the library counts of pre-merge and post-merge 6.5 were pretty close. The number of artists is higher with the newer version, while the album count is a few less, but the number of tracks identical. I wish I had an easy way of counting albums in Windows Explorer so I could figure out which one is right. -- JJZolx Jim JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=25635 ___ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
[SlimDevices: Beta] Re: Time to revisit 6.5?
After reading this thread I downloaded and installed SlimServer_v2006-07-19.exe for WinXP, upgrading from 6.3.1 . Looks good, browsing all works fast and well. Browsing while doing a "Clear & Rescan" works fast, in fact the GUI responds well during the scan - well done!! Music also plays without stuttering. Rescan time 15 minutes in 6.5b1, 6.3.1 took 40 minutes Issues so far - 1.Rescan did not pick up playlists either from Music Magic or C:\Doc\My Music. 2. Music Magic plugin - does not display "mm" after selecting a track, so cannot create mix. 3. Library scan shows 1851 albums with 12877 songs by 1452 artists, MusicIP shows Songs:13,017(12,992 mixable)2,430 Artists and 2,997 Albums; iTunes shows 13,018 songs, 2216 Artists and 953 Albums. Don't ask me to reconcile these ! I am having issues with: 1) SoftSqueeze feeling very sluggish through the menus. 2) Partial rescan doesn't currently detect any new music (I think Dan is looking at that now). 3) Some layout problems with Handheld skin. 4) Some plugins not quite right yet. I'd say go for it. It's fairly stable - not quite up to where it was before the merge, but getting close. Some nice enhancements to the web interface that makes it worthwhile, IMO. There are some performance issues in the web interface that are probably the biggest drawback at the moment. I can't say the scanner is noticably faster, but then I've never timed it either before or after the merge. There were a few problems I was seeing previously (duplicate songs, "Various Artist" problems, All Songs in Library showing instead of all songs by artist), but all of these seem to have been fixed in a fairly short space of time recently. Also, Triode has recently added a few performance tweaks aimed at web page building. All things considered, this seems to me like a good time to try a recent release. -- SadGamerGeek SadGamerGeek's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6145 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=25635 ___ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
