[Bf-committers] python install directory option in cmake
Hi all, I've noticed in recent svn updates, there doesn't seem to be the option to specify where in the filesystem python is installed on a system anymore. Was this intentionally dropped or am I possibly just missing something? This causes issues on FreeBSD because a user adding python3.1 to their system will add it to /usr/local/include/ instead of /usr/include/ I can create link/symlinks to "correct" the problem, but it was far more convenient to specify it whilst in ccmake :) Thanks, Pete ___ Bf-committers mailing list Bf-committers@blender.org http://lists.blender.org/mailman/listinfo/bf-committers

Hi all, Let's freeze svn for a day to prevent confusing situations, and have release builders work on what they need to get a good binary! Only do commits related to making the builds please. SVN needs to be tagged still; but last commit from me was 33942. Tag will be announced here too. Send out binaries via the usual channels, or ask me for where to put them! Note: cmake for my Mac failed to make a 2.56 directory in the app bundle... needs to be checked on. Ton, I built r33942 on FreeBSD 8.1 amd64 and it using cmake and it does create 2.56 directory. what if BF's preferred method to package the files for upload? (last time I simply tar -cjf the contents of build-cmake/bin/ and uploaded .tbz, is that ok?) Hi, Compression format you can choose freely, based on what FreeBSD users prefer. Make sure the binary is stripped, and make a release file name similar to the others; blender-2.56-beta-xxx.xxx We also put in the distro the text files from release/text/ -Ton- Ton Roosendaal Blender Foundation t...@blender.orgwww.blender.org Blender Institute Entrepotdok 57A 1018AD Amsterdam The Netherlands On 29 Dec, 2010, at 20:16, pete larabell wrote: > Ton, > > I built r33942 on FreeBSD 8.1 amd64 and it using cmake and it does > create > 2.56 directory. what if BF's preferred method to package the files for > upload? Hi Ton, Using cmake on 33942 and building with xcode gave me the 2.56 directory in the app bundle fine. And the 2.56 directory is also created at runtime in the Application Support/Blender folder. Maybe it is an issue with cmake/makefiles ? Hi, I have just tagged bf-extensions, revision 1327. I believe that Nathan will ask builders to build with a specific tag version of bf-blender, which he usually links with svn-externals to a specific bf-extensions tag. We've just added some scripts that were scheduled for release after discussing right now about it in #blenderpython. I might be wrong but it would be best waiting for him to build. Ton, Nathan, I will be back in about 8 hours, if you are back before and need the files there are in my home on the folder "release". - Diego On Wed, Dec 29, 2010 at 11:40 PM, pete larabell wrote: > Should I wait until further notice, svn up with new python scripts, rebuild > and re-upload? > > On Wed, Dec 29, 2010 at 7:31 PM, Dalai Felinto wrote: > >> It seems that I got home in time to kindly ask for people to include the >> blenderplayer whenever possible. >> thanks, >> >> Dalai >> -- I almost committed a small patch I had ready while with no internet ... >> waiting for svn "unfreeze" ;) >> 2010/12/29 Diego B >> >> > Both on my home folder, thanks. >> > >> > On Wed, Dec 29, 2010 at 9:42 PM, Ken Hughes wrote: >> > > Linux 32-bit and 64-bit tarballs uploaded to >> > download.blender.org/incoming. >> > > >> > > Ken >> > > ___ >> > > Bf-committers mailing list >> > > Bf-committers@blender.org >> > > http://lists.blender.org/mailman/listinfo/bf-committers >> > > >> > ___ >> > Bf-committers mailing list >> > Bf-committers@blender.org >> > http://lists.blender.org/mailman/listinfo/bf-committers >> > >> ___ >> Bf-committers mailing list >> Bf-committers@blender.org >> http://lists.blender.org/mailman/listinfo/bf-committers >> > ___ > Bf-committers mailing list > Bf-committers@blender.org > http://lists.blender.org/mailman/listinfo/bf-committers > ___ Bf-committers mailing list Bf-committers@blender.org http://lists.blender.org/mailman/listinfo/bf-committers

Appologies for the slow tagging speed, but builders can now use: svn co -r 33947 https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-blender/tags/blender-2.56-release (Yes, it's a checkout, not an export, for proper build info in splash and bpy API). While we're all building, I continue with the release notes and pages. (Yep, having that download link properly done is on the TODO list). /Nathan - -- Nathan Letwory Blender Foundation | Letwory Interactive http://www.blender.org | http://www.letworyinteractive.com -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJNHDlMAAoJEKtfN7KsE0TtloQH/RZg1rQe/oBe+XoHuDgZ1zAc V1gE1d2zOR7v/vubK+HIPrWF6vDuNJLbvQ5b52xUP5+1gvhifUSGmGo8dkiioIHn Ry7+IMqVt8qswShYUJksKakYcteztYdqsBodnQlvx2Gi0dfJqOl2NqlTv3rKfvE0 45zPINBPCfgKQbud1+mtXFa43lKwivZIFspsaaXf8CbH0BHNIsBn8YHvDoayGyam b08UpSnGIRPIdAzoEfboZEunIrZKcslLQAHOmq2az6iw3CAjPCgIR5E32qW9lCu1 tBHNUdm2xav7Lyyon2HnN9QUJEYnjA+jf9vOsCrG2iIFqVIsHqOBpLIzHeW1XD8= =o7gh -END PGP SIGNATURE- ___ Bf-committers mailing list Bf-committers@blender.org http://lists.blender.org/mailman/listinfo/bf-committers
