AFAICS, the encoding is no problem. We just don't get any record, and we don't use the encoding to download records, only to interpret them. Also the syntax should not be a problem, as it should be able to return USMARC according to the PDF you link to. So I don't know what goes wrong. None of the developers knows GRS-1, and SUTRS is not well defined, and otherwise is not designed to be machine readable and therefore difficult or impossible to parse reliably. It seems indeed that DDB only returns SUTRS. And as in Simon's quotes from me, that unfortunately ends it.
