It's certainly unavoidable, but I always have to look at the comment  
in BibAuthor.m for the correct order, since I only add a name with a  
von or Jr part about once a year.  It's easier for me to add names as  
First Middle Last, so that's what I use in general.

Why? It is quite standard name formatting. And moreover it's  
unavoidable to use such a format in general, because it has to  
uniquely define the components of the name, which First Middle von  
Last Jr definitely does not.

when I had finally worked out how to follow these difficult 
instructions, it works as hoped.

damn, the syntax is almost like Applescript. Impossible to 
guess, embarrassingly easy when you see it.

guess)?  See
