[Ontbirds] High Park Raptor Watch

2018-09-05 Thread Tim McCarthy via ONTBIRDS
Hello Raptorfans, especially Broad Wing chasers. It looks like the weather may
be about to change into just the kind of thing our good old Broadwings like. I
mean the kind that makes them fly in great big balls over High Park. Can't say
for sure but if they do and you're not there, you're gonna be plenty hawked off
until I give you the next heads'-up. Stay tuned for further (hopefully
exciting ) news starting on

[Ontbirds] Reddish Egret - yes (for a bit)

2018-09-05 Thread Ted Down via ONTBIRDS
The Reddish Egret gave good but somewhat distant views to a large group of
birders from about 10:45 to shortly after 11;00. It was across from the
Fen Boardwalk near the south end. It moved out of sight and did not
reappear over the next 45 min. Or so.

>From Wharton go west on 13 and continue west to the water. Turn right on
Shore Line rd and the Boardwalk is just past #165.
