Yes, the whole KDE software compilation is released simultaneously. KDE 4.12 final won't be released until December 18th. When I looked at kde.org, the top most news was "KDE Ships Release Candidate of Applications and Platform 4.12", now it has "KDE Ships December Updates to Plasma Workspaces, Applications and Platform". So, is it true that for each new kdelibs version there is a KDE with the same version? -- []s, Fernando -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page

[blfs-dev] kdelibs-4.11.4
ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/4.11.4/src/kdelibs-4.11.4.tar.xz It has been released. Does that mean KDE-4.11.4 has been released? I doubt I did not create a ticket. Please do it if this is true. -- []s, Fernando -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page

"make install" died immediately for me. With a LIBRARY_PATH setting, it ran fine. I'm not sure what to think of that. [blfs-dev] kdelibs
Hi all, If someone could confirm the following, it would be appreciated. I had to set LIBRARY_PATH=/xorg/prefix in order for kdelibs to perform "make install". Without it the build fails right at the beginning with a bunch of message about cannot find -lSM, -lICE, -lX11, etc. "make" ran find without issues. Only "make install" has trouble. Note that my XORG prefix is in /opt. I've only had one or two other packages (not KDE packages) have trouble with X not being installed in /usr. -- Randy rmlscsi: [bogomips 1003.23] [GNU ld version 2.16.1] [gcc (GCC) 4.0.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.6] [Linux 2.6.14.3 i686] 19:03:00 up 74 days, 5:02, 1 user, load average: 0.07, 0.02, 0.00 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
