Re: [Blind-Computing] Search and computer drive listview
Hi Dan, Make sure that none of the items under that menu are selected. You have to hit enter on them individually to uncheck them so it's necessary to go back in there until you have unchecked them all. I'm stumped beyond that. Re: [Blind-Computing] Itunes
There are keystrokes for this, but there is a clash when pressing it with JAWS as they are used to navigate in tables. So what I do is CTRL+alt+windows+left to skip back five seconds or so or CTRL+alt+windows+right to do skip forward five or so seconds. Other screen readers (or no screen reader loaded at all) will not exhibit this clash and you can use the proper keystrokes. -- Chris Hallsworth E-mail: christopher...@googlemail.com MSN: ch9...@hotmail.com Skype: chrishallsworth7266 Klango: chrishallsworth -- From: "Rogelio Terrazas" Sent: Saturday, August 01, 2009 4:21 PM To: Subject: [Blind-Computing] Itunes I haad a question for the group. Unfortunately I was not able to stop the fighting before now as I don't live at my keyboard. Neither do Rick or Bob, but it is going to stop here shortly or more people will get the ax. Personally I'm shocked to open my email on this list to find such bashing people calling each other very derogatory names ETC. This will never be approved on this domain so long as I own it and at $8 a year it's going to remain mine for a long time. If anybody does not like the fact that I do try my best to maintain order then please get your own domain and set things up how ever you like I don't care either way. Such abusive posting just will not be allowed. This is so getting out of hand here. No need for name calling or getting personal, on either side. I never remember learning anything with what you have contributed. I remember people that are very knowledggeable like, Chris, Gerald, Chrissie, Donald, Rick, Lenny, etc.. These are people that know what they are doing. Maybe you taught someone how to turn on a computer or something of that nature. That is why I don't remember your contributions. Re: [Blind-Computing] re yahoo groups not getting my messages
Hi stewart, every yahoo group also has its own webpage. If you know the address of yours then go in there and there should be something that will say subscription settings settings or similar. It is not found in your own profile but somewhere on that group site. It's been a long time since I visited any yahoo groups but the set up is still the same. It could be either the email settings for mail from the group or an unverified email address. Also when you are on their websites you can check all messages you might have missed, inclusing your own sent to that group. Just so you can be sure there was traffic going on during that time. Hope this helps. What it is? They are known for mother boards. That is what they primarily sell. -Original Message- From: blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of ChB Sent: Sunday, August 02, 2009 2:20 AM To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Subject: [Blind-Computing] asus computer company Actually asus just celebrated their 20th company anniversary this year. Re: [Blind-Computing] asus computer company
The reason these netbooks are so cheap is that they use inferior components and shoddy construction. Does Asus offer a three year warranty on its products like Dell? I don't think so. To me, a PC is a long-term commitment, not a throwaway commodity. I'm in no financial position to run out and buy a new PC every six months, which is about the life span of some of this garbage. So for now, I'll stick with my 30 pound Dell workstation, which is built like a tank. Yes, not only that but Googleing different variations of search strings pertaining to sound problems and Asus netbooks returns nothing revelant. I am starting to doubt the validty of this as being an epedmic Asus issue. Do you get a non delivery response back? And, if so, does it come back right away or takes a while, if so how long. Can you post one of the non delivery responses. Both Asus and Lenovo have had highly commendable mention in the publication, Smart Computing. Actually asus just celebrated their 20th company anniversary this year. The company was founded in 1989. So I would not exactly consider this a 'new' no name company.
