[Blind-Computing] Labels for Lists

2011-11-16 Thread Silpa Mallipeddi
Hi All:

Can we have labels for the lists.

When the Jaws Lists list - Insert + Ctrl + L is invoked, we hear the
list options which would be confusing for users.
And we hear 'New List' when the letter 'I' is pressed to navigate the
page by Jaws List Items. When we have labels / captions for the lists,
I think we can hear the list name when the letter 'I' is pressed.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks and regards,
Silpa.

There is a Norton Removal Tool, however it requires the solving of a CAPTCHA

Hello everyone,
I have a Windows 7 computer made by Acer. It came with Norton and my
wife removed it, because I use MSSE. Acer and Norton, together, keep asking
to register Norton. Is there a way to get the computer to stop asking, as
Norton has been removed?
Thanks,

  Hi Mike.
There are so many functions that I can't even begin to describe them:
heck,
I can't even begin to use most of them yet.

They include gui functions to create, display or update windows on the
screen. They have a multitude of math and string functions.

I'll post something from the autoit3 website. Hoping this will answer your
  question.

AutoIt v3 is a freeware BASIC-like scripting language designed for
automating the Windows GUI and general scripting. It uses a combination of
  simulated
keystrokes, mouse movement and window/control manipulation in order to
automate tasks in a way not possible or reliable with other languages.
  AutoIt is
also very small, self-contained and will run on all versions of Windows
  out-of-the-box.

Recently I have become interested in learning to use autohotkey and
autoit3. These are both programming languages for windows operating
systems.
They each seem to work quite well with jaws.

If anyone else is experienced with these languages, or would like to use
these languages, please contact me at rwile...@satx.rr.com . Or respond on

Thanks.

[Blind-Computing] Shortkeys

2011-11-16 Thread Rick Justice
Hi Margaret
I checked out Shortkeys on my Win7 64-bit system,
and it did not play well with Jaws 12 and 13.
If I get around to looking at Auto Hotkey as another list member suggested,
I will let you know.
According to the website, it is supposed to work with both 32 and 64-bit
systems.
HTH,
Rick Justice
