Re: [Blind-Computing] super antispyware v. 5,0,0 1136 free version

2011-12-12 Thread Mike & Barbara
HI Kimsan,

You have to use your Jaws cursor & individually check the items that are in
the list before SAS will quarantine / remove them. I run the Pro version &
have this done automatically so, I can't tell you exactly how to do it. I
probably have it done automatically because it is a major pain in the A**!
LOL LOL

Take care.

  Hi,

I run the version stated in the subject field and upon completion of a
complete scan, it says potentially threatening items were found and it is
recommended that you quarantine these items to prevent further harm to
your
computer, or something along those lines.

However, after I click continue it says no items were selected and to
click
ok to go back to the main window pretty much, so how do I select the items
  it is referring to?

  Thanks.

I tried using the jaws cursor and it's a pain to find the items.

I had my wife highlight them.
Looks like I will need to invest in the pro version.

Hi everyone,

I used to know how to do this but have forgotten in my old age.

How can I navigate through a drop down list box without it making me select and
go automatically to each choice when I arrow onto it?

I'm using XP Pro, JAWS 8 and Internet Explorer 7.

Thanks,

2011-12-12 Thread Lenny McHugh
On the ole xp machine it was very easy to copy an audio cd. I recorded the

Now I need to make about 30 copies.I can not locate any way to accomplish this
with win 7 home. Even with windows media player I must burn one than restart
for a subsequent. If I do not restart wmp it does not see the new blank cd.

2011-12-12 Thread Bob W
Hi Ken. Here are two ways, one of which may work for you.

1. Press insert+DownArrow to open the list.

2. Press shift+f8 to open the drop down list.

The insert+DownArrow almost always works, but occasionally shift+f8 is
needed.

Hope this helps.

[Blind-Computing] Putting a program in the startup menu?

2011-12-12 Thread carliss
Hello Listers,

I need to put a program in the startup menu so the program will start when
the computer starts. The problem is, I don't know how to do it. I've tried
appending the program to the startup menu, but that doesn't put the program
in the startup menu. In order for the program to start when the computer
starts it has to be in, the startup menu.

So, please will someone tell me in detail how to put a program in the
startup menu. Appending it to the startup menu just isn't working .

I remember putting a program in the startup menu a long time ago using
windows explorer. But now I forgot how I did it.

Thanks! For your help.

2011-12-12 Thread Jacob Kruger
Sometimes, alt + down arrow will open it, and then when you've highlighted
your choice, hit either alt + up arrow to close it again, or sometimes just
space bar, or enter will do whatever, but does also depend on context, like
webpages, etc. etc.

Re: [Blind-Computing] Putting a program in the startup menu?

2011-12-12 Thread Jacob Kruger

Operating system?

Under something like windows XP, under what's generally your users and
settings folder in the root of your C dirve, you'll find eith3er user name
folders, and under there a start menu folder, with programs, and startup
folder under it, or in windows7, thinkit's generally the users root folder,
with similar folder/file paths under it, and if you place a shortcut in the
startup subfolder, then it should try run the software on windows startup.

You could also try doing a search under C drive for startup, and if you find
it, invoke context menu, and arrow up to, and hit enter on open in new
window, or something like that, and then work from there.
