[Blind-Computing] Microsoft Communicator 2007 AND JAWS 13
Hello, I have been using Microsoft Communicator 2007 with JAWS 13 on a Windows XP operating System at work. There is no problem as such in using the application without scripts. But I have noticed some limitations as such. To list a few: In the contacts list, you can't tell if your contact is online, away, offline or in a meeting. When you have multiple chat windows open from various contacts you do not have a clue who messaged you. You have to alt tab and move through all your chat windows and use shift tab to get to the message history and check who messaged you. This is really time consuming and sometimes very challenging if you have too many applications running. You also have no clue if your contact has changed his status on the chat window. Another interesting challenge is reading the message history for each chat window. You have to use shift tab to get to reading the message history, time consuming really. Wondering if there is a script to help make things easier with this application. Something like Skype talking which is awesome when using Skype. If there is such a script, request you to kindly guide me to the download page for the same. I have made all other settings to make the application accessible, not that there are a great deal of such settings with Microsoft Communicator 2007. Thank you for your support. Re: [Blind-Computing] Moving to a new computer
hello there; you will need to backup your PSTFile in outlook 2007. to do this, try the following; 1, while in outlook, press, alt+f=file, 2, t=importexport, or, you could simply use up or down arrow and enter on importexport. 3, now you need to up arrow and enter on, export to a file; 4, now you nneed to down arrow and choose, personal folder file (pst) press enter. Personal Folder File (.pst). A .pst file will back up everything that Outlook contains. 5, you will now land in a list of your folders, so use the up arrow until you hear; personal folders open, you will also hear the number of folders, you need to tab and check the box, include sub folders now tab next, here your being asked, where you would like to save the file, so you could choose my documents, or desktop, your choice, once you've determined where the file will be saved, tab finish and press the enter key. the export process will begin, hope this helps. -Original Message- From: Blind-Computing [mailto:blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Ralph Supernaw Sent: Thursday, November 22, 2012 2:42 PM To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Subject: [Blind-Computing] Moving to a new computer Hi, I am moving from a Vista to Windows 7 cmputer. [Blind-Computing] Reading with jaws
I am using W7, outlook 2010 and jaws 14.0 and for some reason jaws is not reading properly. When I am on the internet and press enter on the article I wish to read jaws will read a sentence or two and stop. If I press the letter N as I usually do to skip over header info jaws will stop until I do a say all by pressing insert down arrow. I have gone over my setting many many times but can't find anything wrong. Is there any other way to skip over header info other than pressing the letter N? I have tried the flexible web but do not like it. I will appreciate any info on this as it is very annoying. Thanks much, FRED C. Re: [Blind-Computing] I'm looking for the most accessible dvd playing software
Hi. I have no idea. I installed a version that was on a disk that came with one of my laptops. This was 7 months ago so don't know the version number. I use windows 7 now so I can use windows media player. I believe you can buy a plugin for it that lets it play dvds in xp as well. Re: [Blind-Computing] a certain email
if you can't tell her that you have been infested with an address book steeling malware and have them believe you enough to do some real checking on the matter I would simply start forwarding the mail to them. as to what you do about it, there are things such as filters that can auto delete it, you can gather several of them up and pass them to your ISP so they can pull out the big guns and deal with it, you can get a spam filtering program for your computer, so on and so forth. if you use outlook, in the same area that you block an email address, you can block a domain so no one using that domain can email to you and make it through I have instructions here for outlook 2003, and others have the same sort of thing for newer office outlooks.
