The tool bar idea is good thinking, I agree it is a possibility. Personally I like my display set to classic, but that's just me. Also the screen resolution is hard to say. Re: [Blind-Computing] Help Needed, problems with Microsoft Word 2007 and Jaws 11.0
Hi GM, Another thought, if your Zoom settings are wrong this would make Jaws read weird as well. In Office / Word 2007 try the following: 1. Open a new Word document. 2. Press theAlt key to open the ribbon toolbar. 3. Press the right arrow key until you get the View tab & press the spacebar to open. 4. Right arrow to Zoom & press the spacebar to open. 5. Now, arrow up or down to the 100% radio button, tab to okay, & press the spacebar to save your changes & close. Checking Zoom in Internet Explorer: 1. Open Internet Explorer. 2. Press, Alt + V, for the view menu. 3. Arrow down to the, Zoom sub-menu, & press enter. 4. Now, arrow down & if 100% isn't checked, press enter on 100% to check it, pressing enter will also save your change & close the menus. HTH Take care. It's actually called Windows Classic if memory serves me correctly. Are you speaking about, classic, on the themes page? Since I've never ran, played with or, have Vista, I don't have the slightest clue as to what options are available in display of the control panel. Take care. Personally I like my display set to classic, but that's just me. Also the screen resolution is hard to say. For example on my system that I recently upgraded from XP Media Center to 7 pro the recommended screen resolution is different even though nothing else has changed. Also each monitor does have its own native settings from the manufacturer, so like I say that is a tuff call. Never the less we have given hopefully enough information pointing in the right direction. Go to the control panel & display . In Display make sure that on the Desktop page that is set on, Bliss, on the Screensaver page it is set on none, & on the Settings page it is set for 1024 by 768. Also, did you install any programs or toolbars that might be interfering with Jaws? Or, what exactly did you do directly before this problem began? Take care. Re: [Blind-Computing] Modification to the guidelines
well, even though I don't have a real say in all of this, I agree with you, a phone is a phone while tablets are obviously down to the basics computers those basics are in a hand held package, yes but a iPhone still is unable to compile and run a full fledged program, while if its basic enough to not be to large for the on hand memory and the inbuilt storage slot capability to hold pads and tablets can I used the second edition of the Tandy radio shack pocket computer, its capabilities were less than a tablet or pad of today but it had a processor, a math co processor, and memory and ran actual programs even if it had a single line of simple text readout. glad to see the adaption, inthane -Original Message- from: Blind-Computing [mailto:blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of David Ferrin Sent: Sunday, May 19, 2013 9:16 AM To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] Modification to the guidelines We have to draw a line somewhere or another. [Blind-Computing] recover erased file
Hi, I was having printing problems and while working on trying to clear the printer a file was erased having been selected in full for printing; before realizing the file was erased in time to use ndo, I closed the file and had no chance to recover in that manner. Is there some suggestion of means of recovering a single file? Thanks for any help. Lloyd For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
