I've noticed that earlier versions of Jaws reads things V14 won't. I
wonder
if that is the issue? Jaws cursor reads absolutely nothing on the screen.
I

might have to call tech support to find out why. So far, I really like
Chrome's responsiveness.

Hey Brad,
Yes you can. I actually had to use it today. I needed to update my
extentions, which wouldn't update just by pressing enter. You might
already know this, but you can force a link to open by pressing
control+enter, or shift+enter.

Thanks Ariel. Are you able to use the Jaws cursor to read the screen if
needed? Maybe with Chrome it's not necessary, but with the other browsers
there's been times I needed to click a button or right click a link where
the enter key and apps key respectively wouldn't' execute.

Hi,
I'm using Google Chrome with JAWS 12. I haven't had any problems with
it. It's my everyday browser. I've used Firefox before, but I don't like
it. It's sort of slow at times, stops working, other times JAWS stops
responding. IE was alright, but I wouldn't go back. I'm quite satisfied
with Chrome.

Firefox works "some of the time" without hanging, but it's

I

Very responsive and stable. Explorer crashed no less than 5-times in a

department at work to use Chrome as it is the most secure and stable at

readers with Chrome, apparently successfully.

Thanks,

Hi,

I am thinking of going back to school to obtain a master degree on-line.
I

see many of the universities use Blackboard to host their on-line content.
I am wondering if this interface is accessible for one using a screen
reader? I am using a windows 7 home premium 64 bit system. I have Jaws,
System Access, and NVDA as screen readers I can use. If the program is
accessible are there any tips in navigating the program? I thank you for
any information in this matter.

Using XP SP3, JAWS 12. Was installing Flash 11 today. It got to the 50%
mark and then told me to close the following programs. I closed IE 8 and
Outlook. I then retried, and it insisted I close the program. Gave me a
graphic number but not the name of a program. When I hit insert, alt,
delete it says the install Flash is the only thing running. Do I have to
unload JAWS? Never have had to before.

Hello, I was trying to down load the drop box application and by accident
I

down loaded the Babylon Search. I was able to get rid off the other junk
but, I cannot get rid of this one because I cannot find it anywhere. I
know

that it is there because when I use the internet, it shows up as my search
engine. Thank you very much in advance.
