in terms of that phone number i have it i contacted them and their response was very shall we say cool they acted likeit was the screen reader manufactuers problem. so icontacted freedom and they were no help.by the way the number is1866-281-8464 good luck. - Original Message - From: "John M." They must have made recent changes to the site which now make it very inaccessible with Jaws 10. This is very unfortunate, as the Southwest site was one of the model sites that I use when demonstrating accessible verses non-accessible sites to grad students in a Human/Computer Interaction class. I recently read that Southwest maintained a phone number to relay information regarding accessibility issues with their site, but did not save the number. If anyone has the number, please pass it on, as I would like to contact them regarding this matter. well and i thought their had been a suit or something between nfb and southwest. the funny thing is when i contacted southwest they wer like ablivious to the issue and didn't seem to have an answer passing it off to the scrreen reader manufactuer contacting them yielded no better. - Original Message - From: "Maria Campbell" To: Sent: Thursday, May 26, 2011 11:15 AM Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] jaws and southwest I don't know about anyone else, but I'm seeing more and more websites that used to be accessible, which aren't any longer. well just for clarification it wasn't me a friend accidently did it. and an update she found it under my documents in the start menu now just trying to figure out how to get it back to my computer. - Original Message - From: "JM Casey" To: Sent: Sunday, January 15, 2012 5:12 PM Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] serious issue If it's gone from the recycle bin too, you should be able to get it back with a recovery utility so long as you haven't written a lot on the disc/drive since then. Not sure what utility is the best for this purpose, but when you delete stuff in windows it's not actually erased, just marked as "free space". Still, it goes without saying that you should be more careful. - Original Message - From: "mark" To: Sent: Sunday, January 15, 2012 5:44 PM Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] serious issue Hi If you look in the recycle bin it might be there. Where is this missing from? Most likely, only the icon is missing from the Desktop, or a shortcut located elsewhere on the computer. If you follow David's steps, you can restore the icon to the Desktop. If you need additional assistance, let us know.
