When I fill in my spreadsheet for Friday Night Bingo, one
of my columns is Number of games.

My previous columns have dollar and cents entries. Thusly,
when I write in the number of games played, that evening, it
reverts it to a dollars and cents listing.

How do I change this so that the number of games reads as a
number, no dollars signs, or decimals?

I was filling in a spreadsheet for Bingo, yesterday, and a strange thing
happened.

I should explain, first, that my spreadsheet covers money dispensed during
bingo, plus other related factors.

I added a new column, Number Of Games.

I had Six dollars left in the bank, which I notated.

The number of games played was 6. When I wrote in the 6, It came up as six
dollars, responding to the entry of the same listing in another column.

How do I change that second six dollars into a just plain six, which sites the
number of games played?

In excel 2003, where just tested it now, if I select certain cells, and then
off format menu, choose cells... and then on numbers tab/page, I can
specify that it's a general number, currency, etc. etc.
