Re: [Blind-Computing] SUPERAntiSpyware Question
This is a classic scam that many unsuspecting computer users often fall for. You may receive an email urging you to download AVG Security 2009 or Super Anti Virus 2009 or some other such similar sounding name from the link in the message. The message is usually signed by a Dave Matthews. This is nothing but a scam that will install malware on your computer that is difficult to remove. The real version of AVG is called AVG 8, not AVG 2009. If you ever receive suspicious email imploring you to download a funny-sounding anti-virus or anti-spyware program , just delete it without taking any further action. If you have any doubts about the authenticity of the program touted in the message, share your suspicions with the rest of this list. Otherwise, you may have a real headache on your hands. Re: [Blind-Computing] SUPERAntiSpyware Question
steve, I use super antispyware and it does a good job of catching the tracking cookies. And, so far, it has not removed any that I didn't want removed. marilyn Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/blind-computing@jaws-users.com/ To post to this group, send email to blind-computing@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to blind-computing-le...@jaws-users.com For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: blind-computing-requ...@jaws-users.com Use the following address in order to contact the management team blind-computing-ow...@jaws-users.com If you wish to join the JAWS Users List send a blank email to the following address: jaws-users-list-j...@jaws-users.com
