Re: [Blind-Computing] excel question
Go to the Insert menu and arrow down a couple to "Worksheet". They'll default to Sheet 1, Sheet 2, Sheet 3 or the like each time. You can rename these. If you get your Jaws cursor on one of the sheets and right click it you'll see helpful options there. I also use Excel and office 2003 and I do it this way.. arrow to the column you want to enlarge press control spacebar to select the entire column*or select spacebar for entire row* then press Alt O, arrow down to colomn and enter on it. Then arrow down to auto fit and enter. Now that column is expanded. Should you need to delete a column or row you can do it this way... arrow to the column/row Press Alt E, D, then arrow down to either row or column and press enter. - Original Message - From: "David Griffith" To: Sent: Tuesday, October 20, 2009 10:12 AM Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] excel question All the necessary command for widening cells in Excel are in the Format and then column menus in Excel 2003. In Excel, go to the format menu, scroll to cells and hit enter. Press control and tab until you hear number tab. Then hit the tab key once. You should be in a list which has "general" as the first entry. Scroll down to date. Press tab; at that point you can type in the way you want a date formatted in excel. Respectfully, Russell J.
