Try running this again on the PC side and use the wizard again to save a setup file on a USB removable pen drive. Run this again moving your USB pen on to your laptop. See if this works. If this fails reverse the process from the Laptop side. I do not have Vista but I assume that it has a network setup utility? I know I had to run the setup wizard twice on my PC and once on the laptop to finally get it all to work. It did not work properly after just one running of the wizard on the PC side. Re: [Blind-Computing] networking issues
Vista's network implimentation is very different to that of xp. you need to create a user account on the vista machine with a password and assign permissions to the folders you wish to share to that account, then, you either set up a duplicate account on xp with the exact same user cridentials and you'll have access to the folders you shared with the vista account, or just enter the user name and password in the dialogue that pops up whenever you wish to access the files. aiden - Original Message - From: "David Griffith" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Sunday, November 30, 2008 6:44 PM Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] networking issues Did you set up the network with the XP network wizard?
