Right click on folder, and on send to, submenu, hit enter on desktop (create
shortcut), and you might need to then rename it on the desktop itself, since
will most likely have a name starting with something like shortcut to... or
on later versions of windows it might be something like folderName
(shortcut).

However, remember that in folder/file listings, you can type up to the first
3 letters of an item to try get to it a bit more quickly.

All: I frequently have to access and edit files which reside on a public
drive. The drive has hundreds of folders/directories on it, which means
using the first letter to find a folder is extremely time-consuming. I
want

to build a shortcut to the folder I need and have it reside on my desktop.
I'm pretty sure this is doable, I actually think I've done it by accident
a
couple times. Of course, that means I have no idea what I did. Can
somebody

give me a quick couple keystrokes to get this done? Thanks in advance.

Re: [Blind-Computing] A Desktop Shortcut Question

2011-05-11 Thread Mike Mote
Hi, on the same subject, I would like to add a shortcut for outlook 2007 on
my start menu. I know I can change my default e-mail, and get it that way,
but I use Outlook Express as my default, and Outlook 2007 for work related
matters.
