This is a very difficult podcast to understand. First, the person who is
doing it has an accent and secondly, the sound quality of the voice is very
poor.

This is an example of what not to do when recording a podcast.

Re: [Blind-Computing] Cobra Screen Reader Podcast

2010-11-30 Thread Andre Williams
Well Chris, you seem pretty bent on not making any modifications to how you
produce your podcasts and that's perfectly fine. Just keep in mind that most
people will find them unintelligible and will probably delete them after
listening only a minute or two. My point is that it's a terrible shame to
have gone through the trouble of producing these things only to have people
delete them after a minute or two of struggling to understand them. I wanted
to hear the presentation in full but after about 3 minutes or so I found it
way too much work to try to figure out what it was you were trying to say
and convey. It has nothing to do with personal preference or individual
differences as you are desperately trying to believe. Either you are
communicating or not. No communication, no message received. The solution is
really simple: get a good headset mic.

Don't disregard descending opinion as it can be your best friend; especially
when it comes to endeavors such as podcasting.
