Re: [Blind-Computing] stop JAWS on after reboot
Hi Tom, Below are some steps on how to get to the Start-up Wizard. I don't know if you run Jaws from the system tray or not so, I'll give steps to get to the Start-up Wizard for both ways. For running Jaws from the system tray; 1. Press Insert + J, to open the Jaws context menu. 2. Press the letter H, or arrow up to help & press enter. 3. Press the letter Z, or arrow up to Start-up Wizard & press enter. Running Jaws outside of the system tray; 1. Alt + Tab to your Jaws window. 2. Press the Alt key. 3. Press the letter H, or arrow up to help & press enter. 4. Press the letter Z, or arrow up to Start-up Wizard & press enter. Also, make sure you have a, Hot key / shortcut keystroke in place to start Jaws. Hope this helps. Take care. Re: [Blind-Computing] stop JAWS on after reboot
Hi. Press windos+r to bring up the run dialog box. Type msconfig and press enter. Press control tab until you hear startup tab. Press tab until you come to a list. Press down arrow until you hear jaws make sure it is unchecked and tab to okay & press enter. You might get a message asking you to reboot. Go ahead and press yes. Jaws should no longer start automatically. I went through those steps for nvda and it worked. Hope this helps. -Original Message- From: blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Hugh Sent: Wednesday, July 04, 2012 10:21 AM To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] stop JAWS on after reboot Try going into the start-up wizard and resetting it there -Original Message- From: blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:blind-computing-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Tom Clary Sent: 04 July 2012 13:05 To: blind-computing-join Subject: [Blind-Computing] stop JAWS on after reboot I have JAWS on my dad's PC, and all my family uses his PC when we visit him, but now, when the PC is rebooted, JAWS automaticly starts up, but I selected for this not to happen.
