Scott, Thanks for the update. Vita Mix is recommending the 5200 series for household use. It currently sells for $459.00I have seen other models on Amazon & E Bay. I don't think you can get the free in home 30 day trial from the store. My wife and I have had one for a number of years. They are very friendly as last I checked the controls are still switches and a rotating knob. I will tell you that this is one serious machine that has the ability to take a solid potato and turn it into liquid. In my opinion, they are well worth the money and will last a very long time.
